Norwich Cruiser Posted December 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2017 There is a very good selection of different kinds of tea in the Windjammer in particular not really any need to bring your own unless you are perhaps looking for a specialised tea or your own particular favourite brand of tea. Rare island lady Posted December 30, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2017 I love the fairly new brand of tea on the ships now....and can't find that brand anywhere else. The bags state "London Tea Company" and has a Fair Trade emblem.
taglovestocruise Posted December 30, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 30, 2017 IF you want tea after dinner in the MDR they will bring out a box with a good selection.
lbjen Posted December 30, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 30, 2017 Is there a particular kind you would be looking for? I took my own decaf black tea bags with me, I drink a lot of tea but they weren’t available in every place they served it.

I will bring my own if they don't have any.. thanks I'd bring your own if you are particular. While they do have a good selection at times, it's not dependable. You might find a variety you like one day, and then not see it the rest of the week.

Clarea Posted December 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 30, 2017 thanks for the replies! I just like black tea like English Breakfast, nothing fancy... The latest version of that is called London Breakfast on board. I found I havd to use two bags to get decent flavor.

nelblu Posted December 31, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 31, 2017 When we sailed on the Brilliance in Aug. their tea bags were mostly "Fields & Selects" brand. Various selections from decaf to regular black tea and other flavors such as chamomile. On occasion, I saw Tetley's, but not in a large quantity. njkruzer Posted December 31, 2017 #12 Share Posted December 31, 2017 In the past I didn't see black tea in the selection brought to me at dinner but it was available at the Windjammer. I told my waiter and every night after he had it for me. One of the advantages of traditional dining. Same waiter every night so he knows your preferences. gerif Posted December 31, 2017 #13 Share Posted December 31, 2017 I like a strong black tea so I take my own. They might have something I like, but then again they might not. Such a small item and I drink a lot of tea, so don't take chances.
Rare island lady Posted December 31, 2017 #14 Share Posted December 31, 2017 thanks for the replies! I just like black tea like English Breakfast, nothing fancy... I also used to like the old English Breakfast they had on board years ago, but like the new London Tea Company's "London Breakfast" selection they have even better. It is a Pink/Red color bag. Quite good I thought! :)

It's funny when you order tea in the dining room for breakfast...they will sometimes put one, or two, or three tea bags into that little pot. The "three bagger" is probably just right for Bob!.

But all the ships I have been on this last year have since switched to the London Tea Company brand.
Royal2464 Posted December 31, 2017 #17 Share Posted December 31, 2017 Green tea seems to be the favorite and runs out frequently. It’s either the most popular or the one that the hoarders choose to take home.
