Yes it is.  When he went to Florida in March for golf, I thought he’d be on the ship a couple weeks later but his next post on Twitter had him back home again. I’ve never know him to be away from the ships for this long or so quiet on Twitter. I wonder if he is working behind the scenes or perhaps enjoying retirement. 🤷‍♂️

Or could Captain Johnny be finishing up his 10 weeks in Norway so that he's close to Turku, Finland where Icon is being built?  Wonder if he's at the shipyard already

We'll be on Icon mid May and hope Cpt Johnny will be on by then. My extended family loves him.

Captain Johnny is also known for being a bit of a maverick.  Perhaps there is more to it than just the social presence.

It is standard that you announce the Captain who is in charge for the yard delivery and take out of a vessel. That is Captain Henrik

From Twitter he hasn’t posted showing he has been on the ship since before Christmas.  If he was in Turku Norway he hasn’t posted at all, but maybe he was told not to but that would be great ship promotion by a well followed captain.🤷‍♂️

My wife wondered if it could be a family member with health issues that allows him some flexibility but not enough to go to sea. He did go golfing in Florida but that wasn’t for a couple months.
 

I also wondered if he is taking a bit more of a break to make up for the Covid extension he “served” as captain in March of 2020. I think he was on the ship for double if not more of his normal contract. Just a musing on my part.

Capt Jaret Barry was still the Master on the Adventure 5/13 sailing. We thoroughly enjoyed his announcements and his Captain’s Corner…even got a picture with him.

 

So, maybe Capt Standahl was on the ship, but didn’t start until the sailing after?
