Gold member beverage and other benefits

We have gold member status.  I know this is the lowest level of status.  I was told via RC reps that we get BOGO beer, wine and soda along wiht shakes at Johnny Rockets.  They did say the free item needed to be the same as the first.  This seems like a good benefit, but I have never seen anything about it anywhere.

 

Can you get this at any venue on the ship?  Is it for any beer/wine or are there restrictions?  Speaking of beer - is there Guiness aboard?

 

Also we are traveling with kids and they don't have status, but if I understand once we sign them up, they have the same status as us?

 

Are there any other Gold benefits that we should make sure we take advantage of?

There will be a piece of paper in your cabin when you arrive. It will list the on board offers which will be loaded on your card.

Thank you.  Husband will be happy about the Guinness.

 

The odd thing is the benefits list does not mention BOGO drinks, but I have been told that by 2 reps.   I will look forward to seeing the list when we check in.

Is this for only one purchase?  The rep told me it was for the whole cruise, which sounded amazing but a bit too good for just Gold status.  So i pushed him on it and he say yes.

Thank you.  That really clarifies it.  I was thinking why would I bother buying a soda package if you get two every time you order.  Thanks for taking the time to find that list.  And thanks to everyone for your assistance.  I wish that the people answering the phones knew the cruise information as well as everyone here.

Remember, think of these like you would a coupon book. Once you use the coupon then it's gone. These are a one time use offers.

Sadly, most of the people answering the phones have never even been on a cruise. You will get more accurate responses here.

Just remember to tell whoever you are ordering from that you want to use your discount coupon. Some will automatically apply it while others may not. I often forget to use them since they are loaded on your card instead of paper coupons.

Kids will have same status you have if they cruised or not. At 18 it ends but they keep same status you were on their Birthday. My one Daughter who is 20 has been on 2 cruises but is a Diamond Plus because when she turned 18 that was my status. But they have only points they earned, can not go to next level until they earn own points for that level

Thank you.  My kids also get the same Gold status as us, if I understand correctly.  I wonder can they buy dad a BOGO beer?  Hmmm.

Nope, they may be able to buy you a round at the arcade or candy shop though!  I can't recall what coupons used to be on my kids' cards!

Top ways to drink cheap on a cruise:

 

-BOGO coupon, get the Foster's oil can which is 25.4 ounces and cost $7.50 on my last cruise;

- noon hour mimosas at the casino for $1, buy a bunch;

-Captain's night, you need fast hands and a place to stock pile;

- C&A night, drink quick as they cut off the drinks pretty quick;

- booze up in a localcall bar at the Port

- bring your two bottles of wine aboard.
