Our son is 24 & diamond plus. He's been d+ for a good few years now.

He sometimes gets looks when he walks into lounges.

He was once asked by another cruiser if he was "allowed" to be in the Concierge lounge, to which he replied, "well they've let you in, so the bar is obviously set nice & low - I reckon I'll get away with it". The look on the guy's face was a picture.

The Diamond Police. It gets worse the higher status they obtain.

You always talk down about Pinnacles. While some are good and some are bad. It seems like  to you they are all bad.

The only thing they did was spend more money than you . They earned the privileges they get by paying for them, they didn't get them for free or through some connection.

The problem is, the more P’s, and on particular cruises, the more we will have bad ones.

Well there are 3 simple solutions for you.

1.  Talk Royal into doing away with the program

2.  Use another cruise line.

3.  Keep on complaining about stuff that no one wants to hear.

How about this instead.....

Limit the quantity of P’a access to SL/CK CL. Do it by points and yearly $$ spent. Using a combination of points and $$ spent helps those that spend more $$ with Royal each year but have less points. Have a minimum target of $$ spend yearly to maintain P status. Sorta of like the way Casino Royale dies it now.

I will also be 32 years old... Are there younger D+'s out there?

Take a trip with CruiseLifeRick. He’ll turn Pinnacle next year at age 36.

Just don’t plan on getting much sleep if you cruise with him.

Simple all you have to do is buy controlling interest in RCCL. Then you can make all the rules.

If not wear your fingers out hitting the keyboards.

Another cheerleader. What’s wrong with my suggestion?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with your suggestions. But they are always the same in every thread.

You and a few others on here seem to despise the fact that people whom have 700 Royal cruise points get perks.

Pinnacles come in all ages and all persuasions, just like any other passengers. Some are "stuck up" but most are not.

To constantly bash them in posts is bigoted. It is not your decision when or if someone wears their badge. When and if, you become Pinnacle you can decide when you wear your badge.

I dont get looking at age when entering the CL.  It could be a suite guest for all you know.

Also my son has never had a problem in the CL.  But he has had some nasty looks and comments in the DL.  We just brush it off and enjoy ourselves.  Have no problems as he has over 250 cruise points himself.  I just wish he would be able to get his own D+ gifts.  Seems unfair that he made D+ with his own points at 11 and has the same C&A gifts as when he sailed 5 years ago as a gold.

How does one look at someone and know they belong in the lounge?

I really don't understand the nasty comments and looks, it's what puts me off going to the DL. It's only a room at the end of the day!

Highly over reported. I wouldn't worry about it

I can also see them being top cruiser on a ship before they are 21.

The envy and stares would be a treat to watch.

I'll bet that never happens. 😉🍾🍾

We made Diamond 8 years ago and are D+ now and been in many DLs but have personally never seen or heard nasty comments or looks.

We usually go in around 7.30pm to 8.30pm so maybe we are going in at the right time when some have gone for early dinner.

Easy to produce. Take a D+ pin and affix it to an engraved brass name tag.

Saw some of those...and you know who I am talking about.  Fake people...fake Pinnie pins...fake hair..... it happens.  😉

That's strange he would get that look and comment in the CL.   Any first time cruiser can be in the CL.... by just booking a full suite (GS and above).
