Flight out of FLL after Indy at Port Everglades

I have an option of 11am flight out of FLL. Seriously good idea or not.  On Indy March 7-12

Since Indy sails out of Port Everglades, which is close to FLL, you would most likely make it.  However, it would be advised that you get off the ship as early as you can and get a taxi straight to FLL.  You might be ahead of the “rush” of cruise passengers in line at the airlines and security.  I usually don’t schedule flights before Noon, but I would probably do this one.

Should be no problem at all.  We have had quite a few 10:45-11:00 flights out of FLL after a RCCL cruise.  We make sure we carry our own luggage and get off the ship early so we don't have to stress.

FLL is so close to Port Everglades, you'll be fine!

I just did an 1130 and we had lots of time and we didn't even do the self disembark.  Nail it down!

Assuming you dock and the ship is cleared on time you should have no issues.

 

We did self assist off the ship about 07.30 into a taxi and at the airport all within 30 minutes.

It's fine. You don't really even need to do the walk-off option. Just be in one of the early groups and you'll be at the airport in plenty of time. We had an 11-ish departure to Toronto and we got to the airport and did our kiosk check-in before the bag drop was even open. We used our NEXUS privleges to do Global Entry/TSA Pre-check but it wasn't necessary.

We had a 10:45 out of FLL from Port Everglades a couple of weeks ago.  We carried our own luggage and were off the ship by 6:30 and at the airport by 6:45!  I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Yes. No need to rush off. There is plenty of time to get t the airport. That’s about the time we book all of our flights.

I have booked earlier. I would do an 11AM without giving it a second thought.

I am in total agreement with the above posts.  We did an 11am flight from Ft.  Laud. a few weeks ago.  We walked off about 7:30 am and were at the airport with time to spare.  🙂
