You have a aft balcony if I remember correctly, they are hard to give up, since wife works are vacation time is limited, we would never do 3 weeks while we have our cats .

Yes we have a Sunset View Veranda - our favorite location on a cruise and I don't think that we would give it up. We have essentially the same location on the Eclipse for May on the Hawaii to Vancouver repo.

We have been retired for 15 years now and no pets but have grandchildren (not living with us)!!!! It is so nice not to have work schedules. I did some consulting work for a couple of years but it started to grow and upsetting our cruise schedules!!!!😉

I retired in 1999 but my wife did not retire till 2008 .We could not cruise until then.I found myself missing work and re-retired in 2004.

We're using Sonos soundbars for TV and music listening.

Forgive the ignorance but how does this work?  You have the soundbar and speakers but where does the music come from?  I'm guessing it is a subscription but to what company?  Maybe if I had Alexa I would at least have a clue.

I was thinking about getting one of those digital items that display photos along with time and such but I can't remember the name of it to even research it now.

I never knew you could donate old paint.    We have a bunch of old paint cans in our basement.   I will have to see if our local habitat for humanity store will accept them.

Here is RI we can bring paint into our local SW store for recycling.  As a painting contractor, we pay a fee for every gallon/5 gallon pail to support the program.  The state also runs a program where they accept hazardous waste different times a year. Maybe this is another option?

My county runs annual day for drop off of some ha,arduous materials, such as old paint.  We just havent made it there the last couple of years and we keep forgetting the paint cans are in a cabinet in the basement.  We have some full cans from when we last painted so if someone can use instead of throw out that would be great.

Can’t beat New York water!  We get pizza from the Staten Island Deninos as well as Joe and Pats and Jimmy Mack’s!  Joe and Pats is my favorite but they keep making it thinner and thinner.

Dani, are you from Staten Island?  I grew up in Tompkinsville, moved to Rosebank when I was 16, lived in New Brighton when I first married, and spent 42 years on Tottenville before moving to N.J.

I thought my daughter was a Camp Counselor at Henry Kaufman Campgrounds.  She just told me she was the Lifeguard there for the pool at Henry Kaufman.  She also was a Lifeguard at the South Shore Swim Club in Tottenville, along with my oldest daughter.

We gave up the news several years ago and it was one of the best things we've done.  Don't miss it at all.  If something important is happening and manages to break through our bubble of ignorance, I'll usually check it out online using BBC World News.  Seems to me to be more neutral than the US based news sources.  I'd be interested if you UK people think the same.

I started watching BBC news when I was cruising.  Now, it is the only one I watch.  I agree, they seem to report just the facts and don't sensationalize everything.

Luckynana-

We have had some luck in Florida with some pretty good pizza. Not sure if those places import NYC water to make the pizza dough.

The pizza on Princess Cruises comes close to what we consider good, hometown pizza.

I worked briefly in Manhattan at Lord and Taylor in their customer service department. This was right after college when teaching jobs were scarce in the 70s.  I did enjoy working in the City. Often,I would do some shopping on Fifth Ave before getting the subway home. Needless to say, my paycheck went in a hurry some weeks! 🙄

I enjoyed my high school years at CK,class of 1970. The school was literally separated into two schools. One was the girls division, the other ,the boys division. We shared the cafeteria, some clubs, the yearly school play and dances. I knew some of the boys from my neighborhood and Richmond Hill and Queens Village. I am still close with six girls from my class. We are more family than friends. Those HS years  were some of the best years in my life- so far!

MJSailors..we have found great pizza in Naples, Fl.,   New York Pizza and Pasta.

After graduation, I worked for Moore-McCormack Lines, 2 Broadway, Arthur Young on Park Avenue, and White & Case, which brought me back to Downtown.

I graduated from St. Louis Academy for Girls, Class of '66.  Talk about more family than friends...I married the brother of my HS best friend.😊

I grew up in the Silver Lake area and now we are not far away in West Brighton.  My father was from New Brighton!  Tottenville was a Sunday outing for us😊

Dani, I graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel, right down the street from Silver Lake.  When I was in high school, we all went to the Silver Lake Concerts in the '60's.  Not to hear the music....it was a great hangout, and then we'd head to Joe and Pat's for pizza!  Good times;  I loved growing up on the Island.  My daughters all say the same thing.  They all graduated from St. Joseph Hill.
