Playmakers must be a nice addition to the SeaPlex.  It doesn't exist on Quantum or Ovation.  The only thing back there on those two ships is the Doghouse.  We caught the tail end of one of the bumper car sessions, and we saw a few kids shooting baskets there once, but there was never anyone there otherwise.  Seemed like a big waste of space.  Wasn't there supposed to be a trapeze in the SeaPlex at one point?

On Anthem the Sea Plex can be rather busy depending on day/time.   They have numerous sports in this area.   We played pickleball a couple of times with our son and his wife.

Not sure if they still have certain times of day for roller skating.

There is also a gaming area, I think Xbox that usually see teenage boys playing.

And our son enjoyed playing air hockey and fussball.

We just got off the Koningsdam, yesterday, after a 17 day cruise to Hawaii.  We and our friends came down with Covid .  When I asked about Paxlovid I was quoted $750 . Too much in shock to ask is that per pill or for the full treatment.  Are you traveling with your own prescription for Paxlovid or is that something I shouldn’t be asking ?  Nothing like being miles from nowhere and sick . We are probably going to cancel our Greenland cruise.

Sorry to hear you were sick.   Did you do quarantine for 5 days on Hal?   Hope you feel better now.   That stinks you may cancel Greenland cruise.   That is one we want to do.

The Door straight go downstairs to the In-Law Suite where we have been doing all our Cooking and having dinners while the reno was going on. Downstairs is completely finished.

Not sure maybe @Sea Dog can make out the picture(poster) on the wall it is Johnny Depp, Pirates of the Caribbean  🙂

This door  to the left goes to the garage, the garage is directly behind where the stove is now. It's a 2 car garage with my Wife's car and My Golf Cart. My truck is out in the driveway.

This used to be a coat closet, but we are going to use it for additional storage plus we had electric sockets installed in the back wall of the closet where we plan to make Coffee and Brew Ice Tea in there. So those 2 items will not be on any of the counters.

The Painters are coming here Friday to paint that closet and do touchups at various spots around the rest of the room.

After the painters are done , our contractor will install more wire shelving in there for us. The wire shelving is from the original Pantry we had in the old kitchen that was about where the present fridge is at now.

The metal box in the bottom right  corner is the back of the return air box, has a grill facing into the kitchen under the microwave.

Had a chance this morning to bring up all the pantry items we had downstairs in my work shop on rolling carts. Nice to have my workshop back again without being such a mess.

Are you going to paint the grill under microwave to match walls or leave white?

after that we followed it up with some shopping before heading back to the ship.

This is turning out to a great mini break. 4 day cruises are short but so far this has been fun.

Lenny, I never experienced an ice storm in NY the likes of which cripple all services here in TX.  No mail delivery, no trash pick up, schools, businesses, medical offices closed.  All roads totally iced like skating rinks.  Yesterday, today, probably tomorrow, more of the same.

Grocery stores are going to be insanely crowded once we thaw out.

This sounds like what we are going through here in Arkansas.  Thankful we haven't lost power!

It was difficult to do but we haven't done for at least 4 or 5 years, we raised rent for our shore house rentals.   I sent emails out this past weekend to all our previous tenants and am happy to say that just about everyone has responding saying basically the same thing "wondered when you were going to do that as you have been too cheap for too long"

We had been tossing the idea around the last 2 years and each year had decided to give people a break during covid but now with the cost of utilities, property taxes, insurances, etc etc going up up up it was time to increase.

Especially after reviewing many different online rentals (VRBO, Airbnb, etc.) we were too cheap but have been very happy to have the place booked with tenants we know respect the home and enjoy coming back every year.

Next, I will work on preparing some leases for the tenants that have confirmed their dates and email them this weekend.

I love doing this as it means summer time down the short isn't that far away😀   Plus getting their deposit monies is a perk😁

Maybe I should buy a new can opener this season😇

Has anyone else noticed the house gas bill going up?  We are getting charged at least 40% more for gas than last year.

Yes, along with electric, water rates, and the latest is a 150% increase in trash pickup rate.  Have to pay those higher prices at the pump and higher wages.
