Then there are these keys, an incomplete collection and more ephemera.

At times in the more recent past,  we had to turn them in at the end of the cruise. Were they recycled or could they be used twice or was Silversea ensuring we were all truly off the ship?  Oh but for the chance to try them now.

WOW!!!   That's been many, many sailings with Silversea for Spins based on ALL of those cards/keys.  Impressive!!

Below are a couple of colorful Silversea Chronicles covers from our July 2019 Silver Muse adventure from wonderful Vancouver in goin up to Alaska, etc. Always loved getting back from dinner and entertainment to be able to read through the Chronicles and consider the next day's options and exciting potentials.

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

AFRICA?!!?: Fun, interesting visuals, plus travel details from this early 2016 live/blog. At 51,009 views. Featuring Cape Town, South Africa’s coast, Mozambique, Victoria Falls/Zambia and Botswana's famed Okavango Delta.

Here are two Chronicles covers from our Alaska 2019 Silver Muse sailing.  The color printing does a nice job and provides a sharp "look".:

With Silversea, the ships are smaller and more "personal', allowing better opportunities to talk with and get to know the staff.  This includes the Cruise Directors.  These CD's have many great stories and cruising background to share.

Plus, on longer cruises, it easier to interact with and "know' the staff, their backgrounds, learn about their countries, etc.  It all adds up to great memories that we are missing right now.

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

Here are three of our Silversea Cruise Directors.  First is Moss Hills from our 2017 Lisbon to Rouen Silver Spirit sailing.  Second is Allan King with his "silly soxes" and corny jokes that we enjoyed on there Silver Cloud sailings.  Third is Jimmy Kovel from our first SS sailing in 2010 along the Norway coast with the "Midnight Sun" in the background that would never set above the Arctic Circle.  Sailed with any of these great and fun folks?:

Here are a few items of "swag" that we still have around our home.  Like much better the original red leather baggage tags.  The more current plastic bag tag is OK, but not as classy and special as are the older red leather models.  The red tags are easier to see and stand out more.  Also shown is one of the wooden pens and a little flash light.:

One of my favorite experiences with Allan was while we were sailing from the Amazon River in going back to the Caribbean on the Silver Cloud in 2015.  On my live/blog, fairbourne, from Scotland wisely asked this question regard Allan after I showed him pictured in a kilt:  "is he a real Scotsman when he wears the kilt?"

After getting your question, I went right to the Cruise Director while he was doing a noon "pub crawl" dining/singing program I shared this key question and he promptly ignored me by giving a non-answer. Then, after he was done performing, I shared these pictures with him from the previous night in his kilt. He then gave me his wife's e-mail and encouraged me on what to ask her about this vital "need to know" question as to what would be under that kilt (or not?).

Here is what I sent to Allan's wife,  Marty King:  "Below is the photo evidence!! On my blog, someone from Scotland wrote and was wondering what is under that skirt. I asked that question of Allen, but all I could get out of him was that he said his wife would reply to that question . . . 'NOT MUCH!' "

Within four minutes of sending my e-mail to Marty in Michigan, she pointedly replied: "You didn't get his standard answer. That is, 'nothing is worn, it is all in perfect working order!'. And I can attest that he was not honest with you!"  Marty also finished by saying: "Love the pictures and thank you for sending them. They may end up on our website, www.shipshoreproductions.com."

Earlier I forgot to name and credit two of the excellent Silversea staffers shown working at the bar.  They are: Monteza and Russel.  Great folks!  Anyone remember them?

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

Yes TLC we have been fortunate to have Monteza on board with us at least ten times .So many wonderful memories of her excellent bar service and she had an amazing memory that enabled her to bring our order without asking after cruising only once with her, even though the orders differed as to which Bar and time of day.A very special member of the outstanding Silversea crew.

Appreciate this excellent and highly-detailed follow-up regarding Monteza.  My great memory about her is that she seems to . . . EVERYWHERE!!  Working hard and having such a wonderful, helpful attitude and spirit.  Yes, the Silversea staff are wonderful and I am concerned as to where they are now, how they are doing, when and how they will be able to come back, etc.  Many questions and concerns.

Below shares a few more visuals of the "STAFF STARS" in action.  Does this bring back memories?

FOOD/DINING?  It can be very special with Silversea.  From our July 2019 Silver Muse sailing up to Alaska, here are two main dining room/Atlantide dining delights.  Both were advance, special orders.  First, it is a wonderful Beef Wellington and shown second are perfectly-prepared scallops.  Both were super excellent!! Third pictured below was a tasty pasta from La Terrazza.  Look familiar and bring back nice memories?:

Lovely to see a photo of Jovi. On the first night of our first cruise on Silversea she served our drinks in the bar before dinner. The next afternoon  we were in a different lounge where she was serving and remembered our names. We were amazed, but soon found that  this wasn’t unusual.
The level of service is amazing.

Appreciate the continued nice encouragement, comments and follow-ups. YES, we are hoping sailings can resume to benefit the well-deserving crew members.

Previously, I have provided a few meal examples.  BUT, don't we deserve some dessert?  Below are four treats.  All are "low calorie" (as you look at them on the Internet).  When on a Silversea ship, sadly, they have calories (but, more fun tastes!!).

Its so great to see such wonderful examples of the truly brilliant Silversea Crew whose company we have enjoyed over many years. Its somewhat unfair to select ' Favourites ' but to see Monteza & Joey again brings back such memories - we have been fortunate enough to sail with them many times and they certainly typify all that is best in Silversea.

We hope that all The Officers and Crew are keeping safe and we hope to meet up again before too long.

Lovely to hear from Mayflower who we shared many of the cruises the photos of the super SS crew were on board with us. Brings back so many happy memories of fellow cruisers who became great friends as well as the super efficient Silversea crew.
