Deposit Refund

Our South America cruise in January 2022 was cancelled because the Discovery Princess will not be delivered on time. Anyone receive their refund yet?

When did they cancel? Refunds have been running 60-90 days

When did you receive the email? What date do you have to select refund vs FCC? Count 14 days after that

I informed my PCC that I wanted a refund on the day I got the cancellation notice; no refund yet.

I received the notice about 30 days ago. We weren’t given any choices since the cruise only had a deposit.

Not related to the cruise mentioned, but it has been over 3 months since our cruise was canceled and I have not received a refund of the deposit. I requested a refund back to my credit card and not a FCC. Anyone waiting over 3 months ?

@JimCthat's too long to wait. If you did not book through a TA contact csteinke@princesscruises.com or kbaldwin@princesscruises.com and ask why you haven't been refunded. Sounds like you got lost in the shuffle

asked for a deposit refund on a Jan 2022 cruise last week, received my credit card refund in 3 days-thx Princess!

We are still waiting for our $1,500 deposit to be refunded to our credit card for this cruise.  Not worried, past refunds have taken a bit...

This morning our Deposit for the January 2022, 50 Day, Discovery Princess cruise was credited back to our credit card...

Just looked at my credit card and I see our deposit for the S. America Discovery Princess cruise was refunded on Feb. 25.  I hadn't gotten a notice from my CC company about this was surprised to see it.  Glad that has been taken care of now.

 

I would say yours will be soon now also.

Future Credit Deposit (FCD) refunds

 

Our FCD ($100) was issued in 2019 and charged against my Chase Freedom Credit card.

Since that time -- that credit card (used in 2019) has been cancelled because of unauthorized activity.

I now have a “new” credit card from Chase.

How can I inform Princess I have a new credit card to use for a refund?

Can I request a check for $100 instead?

Even though your credit card was cancelled Chase should have no issues transferring it to your new card.  Here is some information from The Points Guy website.

 

If your card is canceled but the account is open:

 

If your card was canceled but your account was not closed — perhaps because you lost the physical card or had fraudulent transactions that caused the issuer to send you a new card — then you shouldn’t have a reason to worry. The merchant can issue a refund to your canceled card and the refund will appear on the account associated with your new card.
