I always take a spare pair of evening shoes in case the heel drops off! That did actually happen to me as it got caught/stuck in the metal bits that go across the carpet floor (sorry don’t know technical term) whilst on Aurora.

I had a pair of nice evening sandals break on me last week! I had just got out the car to walk to the restaurant! How embarrassing. It wasn’t the heel fortunately but the strap. Very sad though as they were silver with a mid wedge heel so comfy as well as matching with loads of things!

I'm a bit late with this - couldn't log on for most of yesterday

I've had this logging in problem since my last Dell Update (although it may not be their fault). I contacted help&cruisecritic.com and got a reply from Jennifer a community support specialist. She sent me the following link regarding removal of cookies - I'm not Techie but it worked :-

Men just don’t understand 😆

And there is the problem, men or this man at least does understand every outfit needs a bag but we also understand that a suitcase can only hold a finite amount so the men's answer, find a bag or two that goes with all the outfits but a woman's answer, get a bigger suitcase or better still get another suitcase.🤣

Have a great time. Eat, drink, and enjoy. Best wishes. Jane.x

Thank you, and for me just one more sleep to go then off to Southampton and what is not packed we will have to buy.

I will report back on my return but I'm away for 6 more days after the return of the cruise.

Just had a worrying phone call, my step daughter has tested positive for Covid and she stayed at ours on Wednesday night as she had to go to an office near to us early morning. We have both done a test and waiting results.

All clear.

I will do another test tomorrow morning before I set off.

I'm sure I read this somewhere but it might not have been P&O.

I recall a new policy where I think it said no plastic bottles (of drink I assume) could be taken onboard.

I can't find it now so maybe it is just a senior moment.

Have you completed the pre boarding health questionnaire yet?

On the Carnival website it states if you have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid19 in the past 14 days you will be assessed free of charge by the ships medical staff, before they allow you to board.

I completed the form yesterday morning and it does not allow editing of the form.

I'm in a quandary as I answered the medical declaration honestly at the time I completed it and my step daughter has been test positive by LFT and not PCR test. Also another factor is she works in retail and all the other staff are negative. She is booking a PCR test and also going to do another LFT later.

I obvious don't want to speed Covid to the ship so I will wait for her second LFT result then go from there. If there is any chance one of us is infected then I won't be getting as far as the ship as it would be selfish / foolish to stay overnight in Southampton first.

I hope to hear by lunch time today.

Did you get your NHS Covid Pass and was it easy to get?

I think I saw this on a Princess thread. I think it will become policy on all Carnival ships as they have a commitment to reduce all one use plastics in 2022

I knew I had seen it somewhere.

For the first time we are going to take a bottle of gin with us and a bottle of tonic. Clearly Gin does not come in plastic bottles but tonic does although I have prefered to take the small cans as they keep their fizz but my local shop was out of stock so a bottle it is. I bought plastic thinking that will help the weight then thought about the policy I had read.

I have got it on my phone, a letter from the NHS, I used the NHS website to request the letter as my record couldn't be found and, while waiting for the letters to arrive (I wasn't confident they would) I printed it out from the app. So the answer to the question is, yes it was very easy.

If P&O won't take 3 form for proof of vaccine status then no body will be on the ship.🤣

To be fair I don’t have different shoes for every outfit which is why I was gutted when my silver ones broke. On a four night cruise once my husband took one more pair than I did 😂
