We booked a  2024 cruise. I downloaded the Medallion app and signed in without any problem. I then got a casino credit. My travel agent had Princess apply this credit to our booking. However, for some reason, Princess had to change the booking number. Now when I try to log in the Medallion, it says the new booking number is already being used and the old booking number has been cancelled! I have deleted the medallion app and reinstalled without any luck.

Has any had experience with this or have any advice? Thanks!!

There is an online help chat that might be able to solve this. Or you could try contacting your travel agent.

One person in our party could not log in on the app to get set up for our cruise. He was doing everything right so we used the chat. It turned out that his birth date was entered incorrectly. The chat agent had it fixed and all was well.

Thanks. I am trying that option now.

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there's a place in the app showing the times we get into and leave the ports each day. I thought there was somewhere you could pull the itinerary and times for each port, but I can't see to find it.

I checked the JourneyView tab but that doesn't have the times listed.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You don’t need the app for that you can find itinerary and times on your personalizer

You can also access the itinerary using Ocean Concierge.  “Itinerary” is within the information under “More.”

Is there a place on the app to see when you are scheduled to Disembark?  I found my scheduled Embarkation time, but nothing about a scheduled Debarkation time.  I know it starts at 0730, but I'd like to know if I'm in one of the first groups or the last so I can schedule transport.

No, that is not something that has ever been developed as a feature.  On the ship, you used to be able to submit a form to indicate what your needs were for disembarkation (type and timing).  Regardless of what your ship does, you will at least receive a disembarkation assignment prior to the last full day.  You can easily change it at Guest Services.  If you are not sending larger bags into the terminal for pick-up by color-coded group, you can disembark at your leisure.  Otherwise, just ask for a disembarkation group color that suits your timing.

And yet so many bugs remain unfixed.

- Won't let me update the zip code even though the street address and city were updated(by me).

- Won't let me add my credit card info to my daughter's booking(which I made).

- Won't let me update an incorrectly entered(by Princess) DOB for one of our passengers.

How does management at Princess and/or CC not make fixing this app a priority????

Simple answer ... they don't care.  People keep booking cruises, so why should Princess spend any money on fixing the app?  I'm finding it quite comical to see people continuing to booking Princess cruises, then complaining about the app... like this is some kind of 'news'.  Either people don't do any research, so they don't know about this medallion fiasco, or they have credits to use maybe?  I'd rather sail with a cruiseline that has an interest in making me happy with my cruise.

Wow, I hadn't looked at a medallion thread since it was first introduced several years ago and I said then that the medallion was a solution in search of a problem. Now I see that the medallion is its own problem, and after all these years, it still can't fix itself.

Perhaps the reason people continue to book with Princess is because not everyone is having problems with the app.   I haven't cruised since 2019 so this was my first dealing with the app.  I had absolutely no problems at all.  Everything was entered easily and I am in the green lane.  I just booked another cruise for 2025 and even before I received confirmation from my TA it was on the app.   I started on a Samsung phone and then transferred to an I-phone and didn't loose any information already entered.

Yes, Princess should be trying to figure out why it works on some devices and not on others and fix it.

I do wonder how they cannot figure this out after 3 years of having this app being used.

We are both showing as Green for our next cruise, I thought that is what we were on our previous cruises but people on that well know site are saying we should be blue. It is best to be blue or green?

Also I can’t remember if we had to print a boarding pass? If we don’t what do we show when we go though to the terminal?

Don’t listen to your friend you are fine. If the cruise is a long way out you may have other things come up like ordering medallions. There is no boarding pass. If you have a medallion just show that and your passport. Or passport and copy of travel summary

Thanks, no everything is done, medallions ordered to pick up in Southampton ages ago and dining all booked ready. It was on the site we are not supposed to mention that people said you should be blue. Everything on ours is ticked and we are showing as green.

I was thinking more of do we need a boarding pass to get into terminal as on the bigger ships you now have to wait in a queue outside if you get there before your boarding time and we should have priority boarding. If we have no boarding pass how do we prove that bearing in mind we can’t get medallion shipped to our home address here in the UK.

There are a lot of people on the social media site to which I think you refer that don't know much at all, seem very naive and I wouldn't trust a lot of information there.  I had joined/followed a couple of those forums and decided it was more a waste of time.  Not saying all are the same, but that social media doesn't have as high a ratio of reliable posters as this site does IMO.

ETA:  Green Lane is the color representing everything completed correctly for pre-boarding preparation, while blue normally indicates something is missing.  Not likely anything critical, unless your voyage requires some health survey info.  In any case, you will check in normally and there aren't actual Green or Blue lanes/lines at the terminal.

That’s only the case for certain terminals though - San Pedro has separate lanes, and Seattle doesn’t (at least I don’t remember any.. it’s been a year and my memory is pretty much limited to last week most days 🫤).

Last cruise we were on, the blue lane had no wait (tons of waiting agents) and green had a wait (4 people ahead of us).

With the app update my wife's profile pic is gone.  I've tried (several times) to put it back but it doesn't show up. 😒

Sounds like a back to the future thing

Still?  I was going by my own experience and read here from various reports.  There is never an absolute when it comes to Princess.

I went on the regal princess in April and the medallion app worked fine for me. I can see how some people struggle with it. For embarkation I had to upload a face picture and passport. If you are not phone savy it could be frustrating.

On the ship the app is really nice. You can locate your shipmates on map. Order drinks. Look at activities. When you walk up to your stateroom the door automatically unlocks.
