First time in Owners Suite. What can we expect?

basically you get the same perks as a Grand Suite. Only difference is OS is larger. You get the same dining options as GS, same Suite Lounge as GS, same priority seating as GS...and so on.

There is a dinning table in OS, no nice table for a meal in GS, also separate shower in OS, from previous post there may not have priority seating.

One of the nice benefits is having the concierge walk you off the ship at the end, and have your luggage waiting in a separate area.  Makes the disembarkation process nicer.

We're in an Allure CLS next week and the concierge told me that there is no reserved suite seating right now for any of the shows.  Bummer.  Don't know if this applies to all ships.

I am guessing may not be necessary with the ship not at full capacity?

priority reserved seating definitely not necessary.

walk out with concierge was not needed either. Still get pick of departure groups.

departure was waiting in rooms this time. They did check appropriate number groups on the way out and sent people back.

There was no walking off the ship Sept 6 due to covid rules.

What can you expect?   You can expect RCI not to honor most of the suite perks - it's COVID.   You can also expect RCI not to tell you which perks you paid for will still be valid ahead of time.

What perks did you miss out on?

Most seems a little extreme

That sucks , there are so many different shows, that is one of my favorite perks on oasis class ship, should have booked MSc yacht club. If that is still like this in November I will be saying goodbye to rccl.

I heard MSC shows were not up to par with entertainment on Royal, much less Oasis Class

Bathroom is very different.  Probably the biggest difference other than the dining table

When we were on MSC Meraviglia they had two Cirque du Soleil shows that were stunning, but unfortunately I've heard they have ended post-COVID. If they ever come back they are well worth seeing.

In general they cater to a broad mix of nationalities in their passengers so their shows tend to be things that are enjoyable regardless of language so acrobatics, song and dance, etc. The couple other shows we've seen have been 'ok' so I suspect we'll prefer the shows on Allure as well. We'll be finding out soon!  😄

Realllllly stupid and ignorant question - but is there a wiki guide somewhere on how to actually use those things? My brain can't wrap around the logistics of moving from 'dry seat' to 'wet seat' without dripping during the transfer. Then are you supposed to go back over to 'dry' for the final drying? Wouldn't it make more sense for the 'wet' to collect the waste, then you move to a 'dry' pedestal for drying? Or do I just have too much time on my hands to worry over the logistics of bidet usage?

When my grandson was young, we visited my 95 year old aunt who had a bidet in her bathroom.  The bathroom was very fancy and he was impressed.  We found him later giving tours to the other kids at the party. “That’s the sink and that’s the tub.  That’s the toilet and I don’t know WHAT that’s for!!!!”  We were all dying laughing.

We had our first suite on Serenade back in August.  We were in and OV Panoramic suite.  On Serenade it has the same sq footage and a similar layout to an OS minus the balcony.  We are defintely ruined for regular staterooms now.  Massive room, with a dining table and chairs, a separate bedroom and more storage than I could dream of using make the cruise experience so much nicer.  We spent very little time in the SL as it was kind of dead and boring in there.  My favorite perk was breakfast at chops each morning.  That, by itself, was almost worth the extra price.  DW spent a lot of time in the room watch the beautiful scenery of Alaska float by while we were on sailing.

We didn't use it.  We were give the option of 3 30 minute debarkation times. We had chosen the last one but we finished our breakfast a little early so we grabbed a latte to go and walked off the ship by ourselves.  Nobody cared that we were 15 minutes ahead of our selected time.

There was no line at all. Our bags were waiting in suite/pin area. we grabbed them, flashed our passport to CBP on the way out and were standing on the curb in 10 minutes.
