Big 2024 Price Increases

Wow. We were looking at the Feb 3 2024 sailing of the Apex out of Ft Lauderdale. Monday the price of a Sunset Verandah was $3317.48. Today....$4117.58. $800 dollar increase. Ouch.....

Booked in February the Ascent B2B2B for April 2024, prices for the sunset veranda have gone up $2,000 on each leg, 1st+512  2nd+544  3rd+944

My January 2024 Constellation B2B has also increased in price by several hundred dollars each leg.

There are some significant price drops on 2022 cruises, guess they are offsetting these drops with increases for 2024.

Our January 2024 SV on Beyond went from $3000 to $4144. Glad we grabbed it.

We scored on our upcoming cruise next week. 10 day Europe on Reflection. We paid $5300 for 2, verandah cabin, with air from LAX. Price now is about 8k!

The common factors are supply and demand, not to mention Celebrity is entering new ships in the cruise industry.   Cruise pricing is almost like a game to see if you can get the best price. Those who continually watch their cruise prices get some of the best deals.  Having a TA who catches those drops for you is exceptional.  Otherwise, you can do it yourself and/or pay attention to Cruise Critic.

It looks like they are quoting pp prices.  I have seen the increases in SV cabins, especially due to the IV's.  So many want a real balcony.  Th more information someone shares makes it better for us to understand.  Details do make the difference.

We're in an SV for the Beyond next December. It doesn't even show on their web site anymore. Sold out.

Our SS on the Edge in Jan and Feb 2024 for NZ and Australia has not changed from when we booked in January.

Our December 3, 2022 Apex  cruise booked in mid March for $6300 for S2 is now at $8600!!!

In the past X has shown a pattern of opening their schedule at reasonable price only to raise them sharply once they hit a certain booking level.  Prices might later drop as sailing date approaches.  Also, lots of FCC's out there with the expiration clock ticking.  Those concerned about covid and/or Europe want to push replacement booking as far out as possible.  Pricing farther out sailings higher incentivizes customers to use FCC's on closer in ones.

Just to clarify there have been 3 price increases since I booked on February 16 (those shown) for a total of $2,000 on each leg

This got posted on Facebook recently. It is for the Celebrity Reflection 13th of May sailing this year. 

A 10 day S2 Sky Suite for £9367 ($12177) per person!
