Chops Grille Appetizers and Sides

To me, the burger was so plain, dry and tasteless, I was actually angry I wasted a meal at Chops on it.

Thanks for the photos, especially of the carpaccio!  I booked embarkation lunch there just to get carpaccio, it is so hard to find in restaurants.  How was it?

Generally it is good.

 

Sometimes served differently,

we are used to Arugula and peppercorns with a balsamic dressing.

It varies ship to ship, always goes down well,  it is better on some ships than others.

LOL, I think my opinions on American bacon are best kept to myself! 
 

I am aware it is marketed as slow-cooked Berkshire pork but it did not bring back fond childhood memories of my mother’s cooking!

 

Thanks, but I will stick to Mushroom soup and Carpaccio in future.

It reminds of pork belly, but it really isn't so it can't be called that.  Honestly, though, I'll eat pretty much anything with or called "bacon".

The mushroom soup on Enchantment was not cream of mushroom, more like mushroom of mushroom and my wife said it was the best mushroom soup she ever had. I had the goat cheese salad, which I also recommend.

Personal choice.

I agree with you, but it’s nice to see the different offerings

I posted two pictures of Carpaccio from the same ship, two different speciality restaurants and two completely different takes on, agreed a simple dish.
 

And I have other photos of more variants from other RC ships.

Variety is the spice of life

Like Carol said, using UDP is different 

Don’t be afraid to ask.

We had UDP and having two of something was never an issue.

That is good to know!  That changes our plans significantly if we can get lobster at Chops with no upcharge!

We are doing Chops lunch.  Sauteed mushrooms aren't on the menu as a side.  Do you think they would add them if we request it?

Just remembered, recently on Explorer they were short on mushrooms 🍄

I asked for a mushroom omelette with a side of mushrooms.

I was politely informed I could only have in the omelette.

I think there was one mushroom chopped into 20 pieces in that offering.

 

Next it was no cucumber 🥒  for our Martinis 🍸🤣
