Mariner Lunch and Tiles

We will be going on our first cruise post covid and were wondering if there is still a Mariner lunch and tiles given out.  We have been collecting for years and hope that it is still an event.

On our May NA cruise we got the tiles but no lunch. There was a drinks reception but no officers turned up. Weird, I thought but maybe Covid precautions.

Have been to only one Mariner lunch. It was nice, with the stewards all in satin shirts, but the line to get in to the dining room was so long other times, we've skipped it other cruises. I understand if you miss the lunch you can collect the tile at Customer Service desk?

There have been no lunches to my knowledge and they leave your tile and any other awards in your room

Yes.  Half the time, I have no knowledge of the luncheons which is weird but I get my tiles at Guest Services.

We moved 2 years ago and my wife is so upset that she can’t find our collection of tiles anymore!

....Mariner's Lunch on the Rotterdam....I can't remember if we got tiles then but it was the inaugural cruise and we got a nice plate.

 

December 2021

 

......No Mariner's Lunch on the Nieuw Amsterdam (but it was a 5 day Caribbean run) but we did get tiles.

I always said I'd tile the bathroom.  Didn't happen.  Some people do tile a coffee table and so on.  I am not as inventive. I'll bet you would get alot of responses if you started a thread, lol.

We love the tiles so at least we can expect that. My dh puts all our HAL (and cruising) mementos in his office. Lots of his clients cruise so they get a kick out of it.

We always the loved the Mariners Lunches (which we always skip) because it means that the Lido will not be too crowded :).

As of late last month, tiles, but no Mariner Lunch.
