Sunshine3601 Posted December 4, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2022 Best to carry on. If you put in checked luggage then you will have to go to guest services/security to open your case and show them it is water and not booze. I think the max is 12 bottles up to 17 oz each. You can look on royals faq page for details.
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 4, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2022 Just purchase it via the website or app. So much easier that lugging it around.
jalves Posted December 4, 2022 #6 Share Posted December 4, 2022 Easiest is to just bring a refillable, insulated tumbler. You can refill it in the room (ship's water is made the same way as bottled waters) before you head out. 5

Rare SandyR5 Posted December 4, 2022 Author #9 Share Posted December 4, 2022 Thanks to all. We’ve been to the naughty room with a mini steamer once. Too stressful when you’re ready to sail and your luggage is missing. 😉. Will do the refillable tumbler.
RJ257 Posted December 5, 2022 #10 Share Posted December 5, 2022 I brought two empty bottles on my last trip to fill onboard. No need as there were three full bottles in my cabin. Just used them and refilled as needed all week.

Yes, you can bring aboard a certain number of bottles of maximum specified size. However, you can pre-order water that will be in your room when you get there. Several days before my 11/5 departure on Serenade, I received a solicitation from RCL offering 12 bottles of water for $11 ... a decrease from the earlier advertised $33. I bought that water. Buying the water from RCL meant I didn't have to schlep the water from where I parked to the ship, and I could then bring appropriately sized bottles of Diet Pepsi in addition to the 2 bottles of wine. Joseph2017China Posted December 5, 2022 #12 Share Posted December 5, 2022 I'm on vacation, paid $2000 for the cruise. I'm paying for drinks all week. Getting a specialty dining. So I'm not going to worry about an extra few dollars to have a case of water in my room. 1 1
nolegirl01 Posted December 5, 2022 #13 Share Posted December 5, 2022 (edited) I know water bottles are included in the drink package, but do you guys know if I can request to send a small case to my room? I don't find paying the $8 to bring to my room but do you know if they will charge me for the water as well if I have the drink package? hisfirstm8 Posted December 5, 2022 #15 Share Posted December 5, 2022 You are allowed 12 bottles in your carry on. We did this last month. Husband carried 6 and I carried 6. No problem.

You can pre-purchase the water package and have it waiting for you in your room. That's what we usually do as we consume a lot of hot tea in our room. I also drink a lot of water anway.

I don't find paying the $8 to bring to my room but do you know if they will charge me for the water as well if I have the drink package? I usually go through 3-4 half-liter bottles every day. I've had drink packages that included water -- no charge if it clearly says water is included, unless it's "premium" water which might not be included. My two cents: I found it's a measurable annoyance to keep having to go to a bar or wherever to get a couple bottles of water (or a few) for me and my lady, and then carrying the big handful back to my cabin. Same with refilling. For me the inconvenience is just not worth it. From here out I'm paying a little extra for a couple of 12-packs delivered to my room. So, did you know that if the crew was to carry water that is sold on the ship, than it is very possible, that they could be questioned of where they got it from? Now, the crew are not little kids and they really don't want bottles of water that you give them, since such things such as water is readily available for them in the crew areas. Wine most likely turned over also, and/or discarded.
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 5, 2022 #23 Share Posted December 5, 2022 We've left bottled water in the cabin with a note to the cabin steward that we were gifting it to the next occupants. Who knows where it wound up. And frankly don't care. Just made sure DW ordered less the next time.

They tell us wine/beer can be taken to the crew bar to share.
