Pictures of beverage packages being offered today on our upcoming cruise. Don’t forget to add 20% gratuities. $160 per person per day for a premium package is roughly $320 per stateroom per day and $260 per stateroom per day for the Classic package the way I figure it.

This is really crazy pricing!

If it were for something essential to life I'd agree. But it's a non-necessity. If anything they're doing you a favor for your health if it makes you reconsider upgrading.

Nobel answer yet there isn’t a lot to do on celebrity.  When people ask what to do on a TA/TP, many will reply “drink by the pool!” Lol…One production show (played twice) and a lecture per day doesn’t do a lot to kill the time.  The big three including X’s line, RCL, often have many shows and comedians a day

Forgot to add it’s a good thing we had already booked the all in price for the cruise.

You would each have to consume 8 to 9 drinks a day to break even.  Then depends on itinerary and how much time you spend off the ship.  Celebrity takes all of this into consideration before pricing their packages.

I hope they don’t raise the prices of the Dom Perignon or the Beluga caviar.

What's left?? Have spa prices gone up yet? (I don't care about those anyway...)

Medical services? (Hope I don't need those...)

My best guess is that the internet will go up (again) soon

Also, more sales, or just one big one for the entire year!  Maybe the tier levels will take a hit too.  We can only wait, watch and wonder what will be next!

I mean, I can drink but damn. I think my Dec 2024 trip maybe me bringing wine from LCBO for $30 for that price.

How to tell what is the new pricing?  Did someone post it?

Prices above.

The price to upgrade to Premium if you already   have Classic doesn't appear to have gone up though.

Posted on Celebrity website as follows:

Classic Package

Enjoy the drink you want, when you want it, morning, noon, and night, with a fantastic array of liquors, wines for any palate, beers from light and crisp to dark and robust, plus drinks up to $10. Wines by the bottle are discounted by 15%.

$89 per person per day*

Premium Package

This versatile drinks package lets you start your morning with fresh squeezed orange juice and a premium coffee, enjoy a frozen cocktail by the pool, and then a glass of wine with dinner. Enjoy all the spirits listed in our Classic Package, plus drinks up to $17. Wines by the bottle are discounted by 20%.

$109 per person per day*

* Plus 20% service charge/gratuity

There is "9% off sale" from those new prices right now on my cruise.

But when you call to book with a Celebrity Captain's Club Status discount, they are still quoting and charging the price from last week.

I’m sure it will eventually.

old was $69 to $84, $15 + 20% = $18
new is $89 to $109, $20 + 20% = $24

Thank you to the person who spotted the change in the FAQ's a couple days ago. I was able to upgrade Friday night for $111.51.  If I had waited until today it would have cost me $148.68.  That savings will pay for my embarkation lunch in Le Grand Bistro.

So, to compare, how much per day for upgrade?  How long is your cruise?

This really has no effect on anyone booking at AI and sticking to the classic package. The fare difference from Cruise Only to AI already increased a few months ago from the original price spread. Other than comped casino cruises, how often are people paying full retail? I would imagine very very few. When shopping around a few weeks ago I did notice all of the major four lines have increased prices.

12/31/22 NCL's increases to $109 (does does not include water or coffee) or $138 + 20%

2/1/23 Princess increases their premium package (limit of 15 drinks per day) to $84.99 + 18%

5/1/122 Carnival (also 15 drinks) increased to $64.99 + 18%

Royal Caribbeans changes by the minute but $89 is not uncommon

I went ahead and upgraded myself but not my partner.  He doesn’t care about alcohol like I do.  I figure I “saved” about $100 including gratuity.  I’m pretty sure I got the old pricing.

How do I explain to my partner that he’s stuck with Classic?  😭

7 Nights on Beyond in January

I paid:

($15 -10% Classic CC discount: $13.50) x 7 Nights + 18% service charge = $111.51

What it would cost today:

($20 - 10% Classic CC discount: $18.00) x 7 Nights + 18% service charge = $148.68

Note: X says it adds 20% service charge to beverage packages but the computer system is only programmed to add 18%, another mistake by Celebrity's IT department.

I do not think Beluga caviar is still served on a cruise ship

And unfortunately retail of DP went up

in my country a lot of specials are done around this time of the year - some basic Champagnes went up with 4 € comparing to last year and licors as well Cointreau + 4 €🤑
