Seems that I'll be eating a lot of pizza on my upcoming cruise, too many veg & fish dishes... hope you have an enjoyable cruise.

EDIT: Also, if you could see/post/report on what the Late-Nite menu is like (if its still operating, at least), that would be awesome!

glad you had a great sailaway under the bridge...looks so.pretty!

if you go to the breakfast buffet, let us know if they still have lox,  bagels, omelettes made to order, eggs benedict, waffles and the usual breakfast meats like bacon, sausage  and ham.

it's not all about the food but the breakfast buffet is a great option on port days!

They had all of those items on the Oct/Nov TA.  And, the British breakfasts, Continental breakfasts, and lots of pastries and fruit.  Plenty!

You were lucky to enjoy breakfast before the January cutbacks took effect.

Thank you for the report and photos. We leave on the constellation in 3 weeks and this definitely helping me overcome all the negativity on the forum. I was wondering what shows are on the ship currently, other than the comedian. Thank you and have a safe, wonderful trip.

Unfortunately, what you experienced in Oct/Nov is irrelevant now. In case you are unaware, Celebrity initiated some serious cost cutting measures on Jan 1st which include reduced dinner buffet, a new $10 charge for room service, and charge for additional lobster. Still waiting for reports on how the cost cutting affects other areas.

@Uwlwsrpm I will be sure to report on the late night options at some pont.

@cluso I’m sure I will take breakfast in the buffet one day and will report on the specific stations you asked about. You have me curious now because I can see something like the eggs Bene station vanishing if staffing is contributing to the cuts.

Nothing of interest to report from last night. I didn’t will the diamond earrings but I didn’t lose in the casino either (it wasn’t open) :).

My bed is very comfortable, shower pressure great, and the room is clean so other than the dreaded attack of the shower curtain, the need for a cabin refurbishment is irrelevant. I can live here.

Breakfast from Cafe Bacio’ of latte and banana muffin. Tasted like plain vanilla so either it was mislabeled or they ran short of bananas :). The service in Bacio is exceptional. My gal already knows my name and I’m such a dimwit I forgot hers,. How hard can this be? She has 100 names to remember and I have one. I will ask her again, write it down, and give praise where praise is due.

Connie did get a facelift after the pandemic in all public areas. Apparently the soft stuff was already in a warehouse so she got all new carpet, soft furnishings, etc. while the major physical refurbishment went to the land of covid casualties. For an old gal I think the interior is really quite lovely.

I am currently learning about Buddhism to better get my zen on so i headed up to the audio guided meditation on the rooftop terrace. The audio meditation was a bit of a bust because the leader forgot to turn off the sound from the big screen TV. My zen could not get past the distract of mountain biking thru the Alps. About half way thru someone from the class asked him to turn it down and it was infinitely better. I may try it again tomorrow hoping to get to experience the full meditation. Stayed for the stretch class which always feels good.

It’s 10 am, Sun is shining, and I’m 1/2 Zen. Time to put the drink package to work.

Edited to add: The premium wifi is as fast as any ship wifi I have ever experienced.  Those photos loaded very quickly.

Only one breakfast😱

I will usually start at Bacio, my go to was Apple Fritters, which it appears they don’t have anymore 😭

than off the OV for eggs , bacon etc
😁

I used to cruise for food. Not so much anymore. My metabolism has slowed down, which is why I’m about to take my Miami Vice into the metabolism class 🙂

We left port 1.5 hours late due to channel traffic. That meant the casino didn’t open until 10:30.  By then I was ready for nighty night.

Ahh, gotcha.

On another note, I'm literally drooling over the pastry case  pic and I can't wait to get my hands on a few.  As per our traditional pre-cruise preparation, DH and I put ourselves on a pretty strict low carb and low alcohol diet about 8 weeks prior to any of our embarkations.  We do this so we can eat with reckless abandon while on board.  I'm a more sensible eater anyway, but DH is hangry most of the time throughout this phase.  He will thank me later.  Anyway...we've got 49 days to go...🤪

Very much enjoying your review, thank you! Question about the straws…are they the disintegrating paper ones or a new form of something more like plastic but more environmentally friendly?

They are environmentally friendly but not the type that disintegrates immediately. I did bring my glass straw but haven’t needed it yet, even with slushee drinks and I’m consuming my fair share or alcohol.

The Gal giving the metabolism class was actually knowledgeable and it took the full 30 minutes before she even mentioned the word detox (the obvious sales pitch). Considering i was sitting there with my second Bahama mama before noon I think she figured out I wasn’t the detox type. Still, I walked away with a few tidbits of information and suspect some of the loyal gym folks were envious of my ability wildly abandon fitness rules. It’s 5:00 somewhere.

From there I headed to the eddy store to pick up my second free charm. They are  about the size of a poppyseed, but free is free.

Across the hall to the free bracelet give away. Turned out it wasn't exactly free. You  needed to actually buy a charm and there some other rules to follow. I’m not the rule following type either so did a quick about face and headed to the casino where I lost $20 in a nanosecond.

Announcement was made that the cruise director was loading $5 into everyone account. I turned that $5 into $22, lost $2.45 and walked away with a $19.55 voucher which means I only lost .45 cents. Winner winner chicken dinner.

Decided to do lunch in the mdr. Arrived at 12:11. Seated promptly and they even gave me a table for two along the aft wall. Took about 25 minutes for the order to be taken so I used the time to eat some bread and sober up. Something I learned long ago is that one must simply pace themselves with a drink package.

From start to finish, my two course lunch took 1 hour and 15 minutes. In my world that’s slow service (although my waiter was pleasant enough). The Key west salad was nice and fresh. The ribs were fine. I almost tossed a quarter on the plate for scale of the Cole slaw which was both the tiniest and tastiest part of the entree. I skipped dessert because, as you should know by now, I prefer to drink my calories 🙂

Please excuse all the typos and strange words in weird places. Apparently my autocorrect is also drunk.

Took a walk thru the lunch buffet. Below are the photos. They replaced yesterdays rock fish with tilapia.. No stir fry where you select ingredients, but there is an Asian area. Todays fresh choices for lunch are pizza, pasta, pork loin, and the Grill.
