Didn't see them in the pic of pastries at Bacio, but if they put out the lemon tarts....................🤯. They are the best. will be enjoying them in two weeks!!

Cheers!

They had them last night. I got a lemon and chocolate for my dessert. It was very good filling, but too much crust for me. I ended up eating the filling with a spoon :).

Please excuse all the typos and strange words in weird places. Apparently my autocorrect is also drunk.

Took a walk thru the lunch buffet. Below are the photos. They replaced yesterdays rock fish with tilapia.. No stir fry where you select ingredients, but there is an Asian area. Todays fresh choices for lunch are pizza, pasta, pork loin, and the Grill.

I just don't understand that Vegetable Carving Station. Nothing in that picture requires "carving".  What's the story?

To piggyback, are the veggies roasted, raw, both? Seasoned in some way?  I certainly have nothing against veggies but this is such a strange (and new) concept...

Loving your review!  We were just on her in December and will be sailing on her again in March so appreciate you capturing the differences.  I see the dual loungers in your pics,  but we don’t remember seeing them.  What deck are they on?

Unfortunately, what you experienced in Oct/Nov is irrelevant now. In case you are unaware, Celebrity initiated some serious cost cutting measures on Jan 1st which include reduced dinner buffet, a new $10 charge for room service, and charge for additional lobster. Still waiting for reports on how the cost cutting affects other areas.

@Uwlwsrpm I will be sure to report on the late night options at some pont.

@cluso I’m sure I will take breakfast in the buffet one day and will report on the specific stations you asked about. You have me curious now because I can see something like the eggs Bene station vanishing if staffing is contributing to the cuts.

Nothing of interest to report from last night. I didn’t will the diamond earrings but I didn’t lose in the casino either (it wasn’t open) :).

My bed is very comfortable, shower pressure great, and the room is clean so other than the dreaded attack of the shower curtain, the need for a cabin refurbishment is irrelevant. I can live here.

Breakfast from Cafe Bacio’ of latte and banana muffin. Tasted like plain vanilla so either it was mislabeled or they ran short of bananas :). The service in Bacio is exceptional. My gal already knows my name and I’m such a dimwit I forgot hers,. How hard can this be? She has 100 names to remember and I have one. I will ask her again, write it down, and give praise where praise is due.

Connie did get a facelift after the pandemic in all public areas. Apparently the soft stuff was already in a warehouse so she got all new carpet, soft furnishings, etc. while the major physical refurbishment went to the land of covid casualties. For an old gal I think the interior is really quite lovely.

I am currently learning about Buddhism to better get my zen on so i headed up to the audio guided meditation on the rooftop terrace. The audio meditation was a bit of a bust because the leader forgot to turn off the sound from the big screen TV. My zen could not get past the distract of mountain biking thru the Alps. About half way thru someone from the class asked him to turn it down and it was infinitely better. I may try it again tomorrow hoping to get to experience the full meditation. Stayed for the stretch class which always feels good.

It’s 10 am, Sun is shining, and I’m 1/2 Zen. Time to put the drink package to work.

Edited to add: The premium wifi is as fast as any ship wifi I have ever experienced.  Those photos loaded very quickly.

great pics.. I see Cafe Baccio has my fav teas the little triangles..Tea Forte!

Re the wait for service in the MDR…it’s a peeve of mine that even at a table for two the server will often wait to take orders for three to four tables that have been seated at varying times. You only get served your meal depending on the last table seated in your server’s area.

They are found at the roof top terrace. There are also a few double loungers in the solarium and two at the main pool.

There was also "German cake".  Made with free-range Germans, I hope.

Also, "Assorted Sausages" sounds grim.

German chocolate is my favorite cake but it usually has a coconut pecan frosting. This cake was just chocolate, not sure what made it German 🙂

Tonight’s Chic menu and the offerings in the oceanview buffet (Mexican night). The only fresh to made option was pasta again. I’m full from lunch and don’t feel like a long drawn out dinner to get the steak Diane so it’s a garden salad for me.  I just don’t eat like I used to, but if dh was onboard he would be disappointed. As a pescatarian the only fish is talapia, and he prefers not to eat that.

For some reason the photos didn’t load in order, sorry about that. Someone was asking about tea so I shot a pic of that too.

Ill take one for the team and try the vegetable carving station tomorrow 🙂

In the picture you posted, after the one advertising the Mexican menu, there a cook with an assortment of dishes in front of her and two frypans/skillets beside that…is she doing stir fry possibly? I can’t see the details in the picture without expanding it and then it gets blurry.

That is the pasta station. You tell her what veggies you want added to your pasta. There isn’t a “regular” protein like chicken, but there is bacon bits or chunks of sausage.

Then you pick the type of pasta (linguini, spaghetti, etc). Then the guy stir fries the veggies while he heats the pasta in hot water. They are added together and there are 3 types of sauce to put on top (marinia, beef, Alfredo).

Thank you! Wonder if you can just have them stir fry the veggies and find some rice at another station…🤔🤷‍♀️, I’m trying to work out a way to avoid pasta every dinner as the only thing made freshly

I hear you. I can do pasta once a week. I may try just some stir fried veggies tomorrow (from the pasta station). There is fresh garlic to add. A little soy sauce is all I really need. I can even skip the rice. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Normally I’m a bad breakfast eater, but the cut backs make it easier to eat healthy. Largest meal breakfast, then lunch, then a small dinner. Like I said, I don’t eat like I used to, but someone with kids or a growing man like DH would be challenged.
