Casino is small,  maybe a little smaller than Pride's. If Mardi Gras casino is an envelope,  Venezia casino is a postage stamp.

Oh no. Would you say it's smaller than the Conquest class casinos too? I love the ship casinos but don't think I can have fun in a postage stamp sized one lol. I booked the Firenze for next year and I believe that will be the exact same layout as Venezia is, but if the casino is similar in size to the Conquest class ships like the Liberty casino then i'll be fine.

Yayy!!

Cruise day is here for you. Wishing you a fantastic voyage.

Can't wait to see pictures of this ship.

Nothing is going to top all of those gorgeous photos and postings

you did on previous weeks of all places visited in Europe.

It was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much!!

I was mistaken.  There is a small hallway that leads to another,  much smaller and weird additional casino.  Overall I estimate Venezia casino a little bigger than Pride's

What I saw on John Heald’s tour video yesterday that casino annex is an additional non-smoking section.

I am guessing that is why the heavy looking woodwork and furniture....Italian style.

It's a style that the Chinese market likes when associated with things European. True Italian styling is very modern. Remember, this ship was meant for CHINA, not Italy, so the interior design reflects what THE CHINESE associates with Venice and Italy in general.

If you checkout Costa Toscana, the cruiseline's flagship meant for Italians, it's nothing remotely like the Venezia. It's modern, bright, and sleek. Checkout the photos in the link :

Lol you mean beating the octopus against a rock isnt enough? I lived out in the country in hawaii with the locals. Wasnt 5 star, but fresh.  I was spoiled by fresh fish and seaweed and homegrown hot sauce.

The main gripe I have with carnival is their dinners to me hardly edible. My steak had so much gristle I couldn't chew it. BLT kept giving me burnt hard stale toast. I'll be interested in this review of the food. That's why i booked fewer carnival .. and i can book rcl for less. Carnival has the best fast food, burgers and pizza but i went hungry for dinner in the Mdr. Lots of reviews coming up. Hopefully of the food. I'm a picky eater, though not high class, i just want good food. Not watery cold fruit soup. I also don't eat fat, I cut every bit off .. doing more pay restaurants.

I eat like you I am not a fast food lover nor a foodie but I like good food. Keep your expectations low and find something you like and ask for it again. I’m afraid OP is going to lose weight with all these sea days after viewing his fancy dishes served while on land. The steakhouse is probably ok.

Never experienced your time dining, how bad is it for a table for two? On wait list for early seating but not holding out much hope getting it for our cruise Aug./Sept.

Thanks for the posts, enjoy your cruise.

I really don't like it (Costa Toscana), this ship is so much better.

Hes got the new italian pay restaurant tomorrow night, that st Greg did tonight earlier. I'm not a Italian food fan, but I bet he will like it. I do like carnivals steak house though.

On my way to try this new-to-Carnival free lunch spot, the arugula in the pic got me. I  don't want to hear what I have been hearing on post-pandemic cruises today... "I'm sorry sir, we are out of arugula" and I don't want any of that nasty liquid guacamole!

Lunch today at the small outdoor Italian buffet called La Strada was hit and miss... "farmhouse salad" is a yummy potato salad,  steak was tough,  flavor ok. Chicken sandwich was good if you only eat half the bread. Italian eggplant was actually very good.

That's not bad. The little annex was shown on John's page. Of course the usual bickering began, so off I went, lol.
