New request sent. Received auto reply up to 21 days to process. We will see.

Standard lingo from Princess.  Like I said, mine came the next day and that has been the way for the last 3 of my requests.  Wish you luck, hope you get a quick resolution.

Don't you have to submit inside of 90 days? That is what the form says. If you are more than 90 days out and haven't received your OBC you may have submitted too soon.

Several years ago when they began to require payment for advance tour reservations they dropped that requirement so we can use the SOBC for tour payments. I’ve received SOBC as early as nearly 2 years before sailing & long before tours were available to book.

I just used my shareholder OBC to help pay for one of our excursions that we will be doing in 2024.

I always look under the Payments tab in the cruise personalizer. That's where it shows online. I just sent mine in for a cruise next April - 10 day Mexican Rivera for the Solar Eclipse. Got the standard "auto reply" about the possible 21 days. Since the cruise is a long way off there is plenty of time.

Sorry I'm new to whole shareholder credit club. Do I have to send the request form every time I book a cruise? Or is it automatically on my account that I'm a shareholder and it will just automatically do it every time I book a cruise they'll apply it?

Yes...you have to send a separate request for each cruise. OO...maybe you can "stack up" the requests in a single email...I've always just sent a separate request. Easier (for me) to track what I've done for each cruise. I BCC myself so I have a record of when I sent it in.

Thank you so much for getting back to me with such a speedy response. That's actually a good idea about stacking up all the bookings in an email but I pretty much be like you where I would want an individual email per booking just so I can also keep track. Not sure what took me so long to become a shareholder knowing how much I could have been earning with all that OBC all throughout these years of not doing it. 🤦‍♀️ Thanks a bunch!

No you have to apply for the credit for every cruise. I have listed multiple cruises in a single email with no problem.

Another benefit, if you are eligible, is the Military Benefit.

https://www.princess.com/military_benefit_program/

The reason I mention it here is that after you apply and are approved, it is automatically applied.  You don't have to keep applying.

You can sell your stock and lose the benefit, but your Military Service will always be there.

Although Military Benefits are automatically applied with the booking if earned, make sure to keep an eye on your booking to ensure that it is applied.  A couple of years ago we had to resubmit my husband's paperwork to get the credit.  I know we were not the only ones this happened to based on other remarks I had seen on the board.  Could just have been a fluke --- who knows.

I do each cruise separately because I like to keep all paperwork filed on my computer by date of cruise.  Also, if you are doing a B2B cruise with two separate booking numbers, be sure you apply for BOTH booking numbers.  Each booking number entitles you to the benefit.

We also make sure we've always got 2 or 3 deposits with PCL and HAL both so that when we book, we get the benefit of the Future Cruise OBC too.  We do a lot of B2B's so we need 2 deposits each time, hence we keep several on account.  You have to put the deposits down while you are onboard though, you can't just send in money and ask them to apply it to future cruises.  Visit the Future Cruise office onboard and tell them you want to put some deposits down for future use.  If you haven't booked a cruise in 24 months of placing the deposits, they will automatically refund the deposits to you.  During Covid, PCL returned 6 deposits each to us.  We were sad because then we didn't have the FCC OBC on our next cruise.  🙂

There are a couple of ways to purchase the Future Cruise Deposit (FCD) onboard without waiting to see the Future Cruise Sales.  You can do it on the Medallion App.  You can also find a form at the Future Cruise Sales office (probably even if they are closed), fill it out and deposit in a collection box, or sometimes a slot at the Future Cruise office.  They will charge the card assigned to your onboard account.  Don't forget to include your significant other, you have to get separate FCD's for each of you.

Besides doing it on the app you can actually do it on your stateroom TV as well.

@Jeter02, we tried that method when we were on the Discovery Princess in February.  We purchased one FCD for my husband and one for me.  Unfortunately for us, when we returned home we found out that the system only gave us one FCD and not two. Somehow, the system didn't do its job.  We didn't have a internet package so we had no way of verifying it through emails otherwise we would have known that  something was wrong. The next month when we were on the same ship we filled out the form and hand delivered it to the Future Cruise Sales rep (they were not busy so no biggie for us).

Hi everyone...to close the loop on my issue. I made the second SH OBC submission and my OBC has been posted. Took only 2 days. Thanks for the advice to resubmit. Not sure what happened with the first submission.

A tale of 2 cruise lines.

Both free casino rates

Princess upgraded to a window for $400.  Stock credit approved.

Carnival, no upgrade, basic free room. Stock credit denied.

I had a B2B on princess last month, didn't upgrade the room.  Stock credit approved.

My experience.  Princess always gives stock credit, while carnival always denies.

Another reason I prefer princess.

What method did you use for the resubmission? Did you use email them directly with sbpcl@princesscruises.com or use the online submission?

I sent mine in on Thursday and I haven't seen anything yet. I'll be leaving on the 17th of June so I want to make sure I used the best submission method.
