Currently on Eclipse which is one of the "trail ships" and there has been no evidence of vaping in the casino.

If you don't mind, ask a casino crew member if its allowed, even the cashier or bartender will probably know

I sent email to Celebrity Executive complaining about any plans to allow vaping. Within 72 hours had phone call from someone in the Executive Office asking me to describe my concerns on a recorded conversation that would be shared with the decision makers. I worked hard to state my concerns in a calm clear way but did state that I absolutely will not sail with a cruise line that allows smoking or vaping in the casino.

I, too, email the Exec. office. I received an email stating that, while this was a trial, they saw no issues. Clearly, the just don’t care.

The new President has made some strange moves..this is one of them.

Pic of sign indicating no smoking but vaping permitted was posted earlier on Cc. Celebrity offices told me the trial period for Summit and Eclipse ends this weekend and they will evaluate.

Funny. The person I spoke to at the executive offices indicated that they have received much negative feedback. But they will look at the revenue as the main decider I am sure.

Reportedly the vaping permitted sign was removed and it was "word of mouth".  Also, reportedly was on the non-E-Class "E" ships, Equinox and Eclipse; perhaps I missed its also trialed on the Summit

My mistake. You are correct. Here is quote from email Celebrity sent me:

"The current Casino Vaping test is for a limited time only for Celebrity Equinox (June 24, 2023 – August 19, 2023) and Celebrity Eclipse (June 25, 2023 – August 20, 2023)."

Thanks for following up.  Was just wondering if the trial ended early due to complaints

Oceania has smoke free casinos. Yes, it is more expensive but we love no lines or reservations needed for Main Dining room, no or very short lines to get on and off of ship, towel covered pads on lounge chairs, Speciality restaurants included, and wonderful service.

Do they include a drinks package?

😠

I have 3 cruises fully paid for, all with family members who are new to Celebrity. I’m embarrassed at the cuts that have been made and the changes that have come about since we booked.

I really hope the person to whom you spoke was mis-informed! 😬

It might be time for another email to Celebrity.

We are committed to our fully paid October cruise, but if vaping is allowed fleet wide the other five will be cancelled - fortunately booked before the astronomical hike in deposits. 🤑

Apparently? Exactly what did the response say and who was it from?

Phone reps at Celebrity's call center. Just me, but I have no faith in their knowledge on most issues and this is one of them. I'll wait until after the 20th to see.

Executive office staff who called me this morning told me that they have made no decisions...the test is not even over yet and they have received many negative comments about whether to allow vaping which they are considering. I have a cruise on Sept. 2 and have it in writing from Celebrity team in Miami that no vaping will be allowed on my cruise. Not saying it won't happen at some point but not sure your source at Celebrity which says it is definitely happening is a reliable one.

I read your prior post prior to my last post and believe what you were told from that office. I've reached out to them in the past with other concerns and questions and their answers have been spot on.

Drink package...no. But now wine and beer are included with dinner and nearly all non alcholic drinks (coffees, sodas) are included. If you are a casino player who likes higher limit tables, they are limited to the three larger ships. Four smaller ships have very small casinos.

Received this response to my email concerned that smoking in casino and other areas would return.

The pilot for vaping in casino is a test that is currently taking place in the casinos on the Celebrity Equinox and Celebrity Eclipse through August 20th. It is a test at this point, and all feedback is being taking into consideration, so again, thank you. We are conducting an 8-week test on two ships to measure the impact vaping may have on the overall guest experience. Our casino players have indicated that being able to vape while playing would enhance their gaming experience. Overall guest feedback indicates that guests who do not vape do not feel vaping in the casino would negatively impact their experience. In casinos on itineraries where e-cigarette smoking is allowed, there will be visible signage designating the areas for both vaping and non-vaping guests. We have adapted the air circulation in the casino to allow the use of vapes. It is still not possible to allow vaping in the staterooms and we ask for your compliance to help us ensure a comfortable environment for all our guests.

Rest assured, we will maintain things smoke-free for the enjoyment of all passengers onboard.

*The wording I have underlined concerns me - there will be indicates future!

*Vaping in one's stateroom is far less likely to encroach on someone else's comfort than vaping in a public area! Unless vaping on one's balcony.

Rest assured, we will maintain things smoke-free for the enjoyment of all passengers onboard.

*That statement is an absolute joke - smoke free perhaps, but not toxic vape emission free!

This seems pretty clear that X is going to allow smoking, oh I mean vaping, in the casinos. What a different product this has turned out to be from I what I booked a year or more ago. Suite cuts, vaping, down graded menus, etc.

What "Overall guest feedback"?  This response from Celebrity is total horses**t.

The correct non-vaping guest population to survey are non-vaping/non-smoking gamblers.  I'm sure if you ask a non-vaping gambler who never enters the casino whether vaping in the casino would negatively impact their cruising experience, of course the answer is no.

Unfortunately it looks like vaping in casinos is a done deal.
