Shame on me it's totally my own fault, but....

I received so many messages yesterday reminding me to arrive during my check in window (I honestly lost count but it was at least five times because i didn't hit the "confirm message" button) that I didn't bother reading the messages I got today.

Cruise line equivalent of the boy who cried wolf. Their "important" messages weren't really important and today they were but I didn't believe them. Now I'm here and the ship still is not.

My own fault, not blaming the cruise line or the port just venting.

The port is handling things very well. Lots of communication about the reality of how long boarding will take and advising us to come back later but not being pushy about it.

They are now checking us in outside on tablets, giving us a wrist band which will allow us to bypass the line when things begin. Win-win as less people are likely to hang around creating lines if they are not worried about losing their spot and they will be able to process people faster since some will already be checked in.

I won't be testing my luck in the casino as I just got strike two, message popped up that I have to check in at counter. They still gave me a wristband to skip the line just need to go to a desk still before boarding.

I live in south Florida, and the weather has been extra nasty the last couple days. I'll be sure next time to always read the messages the cruise line sends me 😆

For those onboard, do you know how long will they delay disembarking to wait for luggage to get to terminal?

She has not docked yet, perhaps it is not safe to moor it at the dock yet.

Reading from the West Coast, so just now hearing of the delay.    It is like reading an exciting suspense novel .       Hope all aboard are able to make their flights and have safe travel home.

Having been on delayed on both Flights and Cruises arrivals the delays can really raise the emotions when you have tight connections.   Good luck to all.
