SMALL electric HANDHELD STEAMER - Celebrity cruises

Hi everyone, 

 

Are we allowed to bring a small handheld steamer onboard Celebrity ship?  I cant find anything about it anywhere. It is very small (12 inches or so), 1500 watts and plugs-in.  Thanks in advance for your input.

There are no "loaner irons" for passengers.  Most of us wear easy to travel clothing (ie, wrinkle resistant) and don't worry about any wrinkles.  We are all in the same boat so to speak, and few people care about seeing wrinkled clothing on their fellow passengers.

Use Downey Wrinkle Release. Works like a charm!

You can also have them pressed for a cost.

If we have things that absolutely need to be pressed, I send them out. It’s not that expensive. The most I’ve ever spent is about $20 on pressing over the course of a cruise.

Here's the price list we got in November for laundry.  If you're in certain suites you get some services for free.   I know that if you're Elite Plus you get two complimentary pressed items.

I bring a hair flat iron for emergency touch ups, but otherwise pack clothes that won't hold wrinkles or use the laundry service.

The surcharge is for speedy service — one day as opposed to two or three day service.

A flat iron is ok to bring onboard?  Do you have a link so I can see what type of flat iron is ok for onboard?  Tks in advance

While most potentially flammable high-wattage items are strictly prohibited, hair curling irons, straightening irons, and hair dryers are permitted. Are there blowdryers available for use onboard? Yes, each stateroom will have a hair dryer provided for use onboard.
