That yummy yacht is the M.Y. Faith.  She is available for charter, 12 guests in 7 cabins, crew of 31.  Costs a bit more than the MSC YC:  $1,736,000/week plus expenses.  EM

Plus expenses? What expenses exactly can't be covered by $1.7M?!

Just wondering where you got that delicious looking steak and cheese sandwich from!

This sandwich is one of my favorite things on any ship!

The tips for the crew and I think you may have to pay for your own provisions to be brought on but they are super specific to you and your guests.

The steak and cheese is my favorite thing from the deli. I discovered it on my last cruise and now it's the only thing I get from there. The lady working at the deli now was also there in December and her attitude hasn't changed since then. She does almost kinda give me a sort of half smile when she sees me, but I also don't make any special requests so maybe that's why lol. I feel for her because she always seems to be the only person working and there are usually long lines of people waiting. They really need another person making sandwiches.

Anyway, my St. Thomas excursion just got cancelled because of rip currents so I have no idea what to do today. Maybe I'll do the Sky Ride since I've never done it before.

That's a shame about the deli lady. I've seen complaints about her in Vista FB groups. We don't usually eat at the deli but was thinking I might try it next week. Now, maybe not so much. 😂

We've done the skyride in St. Thomas several times - you just can't beat the views from up there. In August we were on a Disney cruise with our youngest son and DIL and did some hokey island tour that ended at the pirate museum next to the skyride. I couldn't get out of that place fast enough. LOL We took the skyride to the top and had a few frozen drinks and apps and enjoyed the view. It was the highlight of our day in St. Thomas.

Aw, sorry to hear about your excursion! What one was it? We have a catamaran sail & snorkel.

Yikes, that’s bad she has a rep going in the FB groups.

I had the eggs Benedict, no meat, hash browns and sausage. It was good as always.
Mom & B had the pancakes and they ate every last bite, so they must have been good.
B also had a ham & cheese omlet that was suuuuper cheesey.

I want to make a post about some awesome crew members we have encountered so far. I may have already mentioned a few of them, but I can’t remember who I have and haven’t.

I Gede our room steward is on it! Any request we have made (blue blankets, more towels) are handled promptly…like, less than 5 minutes and we have them! He’s also super friendly and always smiling.

Ragu, our server in the MDR last night (we have anytime dining) was so quick and efficient, and friendly. He’s been with the company 30 years and knows his stuff. Any questions we had about menu items he was able to answer, and dinner service was quick.

Setyo at the Ocean Plaza bar in the morning is sooo friendly, makes awesome coffee (and espresso martinis) and by day 2 remembered our names and coffee preferences. She’s awesome!!

Keshore at the Havana bar is here until May 26 and i absolutely love him! He’s funny, remembers his guests’ names and drink preferences (or maybe that’s a sign I drink too much) and just really enhances the fun vibe and experience of the area. He’s joked with us and we’ve had a great time.

It was through an independent company, St. Thomas Adventure Tours. That was the one excursion I was most looking forward to,  because they guarantee that you'll see turtles. Oh well. We did end up doing the Sky Ride to Paradise Point. I just polished off a bushwhacker and it was unexpectedly strong. Now we're off to find some food. They have food here at Paradise Point but husband wants jerk chicken and rice and the lady at the ticket booth recommended a place nearby so we're going to check it out.

And Setyo will be our new best friend in the mornings! I hope there's a good show there (people watching) like there was on Celebration. 🤦‍♀️😂

Glad to hear you still ended up having a good time!

The water was rough today!!

I will warn him about “Jeff and Patti”….

She’s awesome!! I literally was just walking by (9 at night) with no plans on stopping and she hollars out (nobody was there) “Steph! Espresso martini and water?” I’m like “ummmm, sure!” I mean…I’m not driving….no responsibility…what else I got to do other than check on seasick B??

So where did I leave off for today? I think it was breakfast…

B was feeling slightly sick after breakfast, so we headed back to the cabin. I mean, she downed FOUR of Setyo’s coffees (2 iced drinks, one regular with cream, one black) so I blamed it on that. By 11 she was feeling ok. Whew! We got plans today girl, we gotta be on the pier by 1130!! We headed off the ship and were on the pier in our meeting spot at 11:10.

Today we are doing the St. John Champagne Catamaran Sailaway, booked thru Carnival. We were arranged in lines on the pier and took off at 11:32. They smushed us into an open air safari and drove us to a marina, which we arrived at at 11:59. All I can say is…none of us were expecting the, uh, um, island tour, aka roller coaster, aka adrenaline rush, aka taxi ride, there. It was freaking scary. B gets car sick (I learned something new about her!) and was literally green by the time we got to the marina. This was a, uh, interesting start to the day!!

The catamaran crew were super friendly, and the boat was super clean! They warned us the water was rocky, and B looked scared. We took off, and shortly after B just closed her eyes and said to let her be. The crew were not kidding…we hit some good waves and rocked quite a bit.

We got to Honeymoon Beach area about 40-50 mins later, and they told us we could use the stairs to get in the water, or just jump off. B was wayyyyyy too excited and leaped off the boat as soon as they opened the “gate.” Mom worked up her courage and took a leap of faith. Me, heck no. I sat on my bum bum and “slid” down the 4 foot leap, and may or may not have pee peed myself on the way down. It was scary!!

The water was gorgeous y’all, and the PERFECT temperature. B and Mama snorkeled and saw a ton of fish. B tried to stay in the water as long as possible. Me, I slid in, then swam to the ladder and climbed back aboard. They were not kidding that the water was rough and strong today!! I decided to enjoy a few Rumosas instead.

On the way back to the marina the rum punch, rumosas, and other drinks flowed freely. B passed out on the front of the boat, and was brought crackers to help her seasickness. The rest of us got crackers, cheese, pepperoni, and yummies. The crew were awesome, and kept checking on B. The rest of us sang, danced and drank our way to port. This excursion…I’d give a 8/10. I only dock on the awful, swervy, ride to and from the marina.

Once back onboard (4:06) B went and passed out in the room. Mom & I cleaned up and checked on her (she proceeded to get sick) and went to get her a Starry. After making sure she was ok (huddled in bed with basket next to her and Starry & water easily accessible) we headed to Alchemy for a few beverages. We got a 40 is the new 20, a “pistachio something” and a “raspberry something” from Goran. He’s awesome, I really, really like him!! We also learned that Guest Services was giving out seasick meds for free, so we headed there to get some for B.

On the way back thru I stopped by the Steakhouse bar because I heard they had Blantons. They really did!! I got 2 shots, then went back to the room to check on B.

Oh hell no, even this looks scary to me! I mean, the water is gorgeous but that stairway?? Nope!

It honestly wasn’t as bad as it looks. The jump area tho…THAT was scary (to me).

We headed to dinner, B thought MAYBE food would help her feel better. That was NOT true, she left before anything even arrived. I forgot to take a pic of the menu, im so sorry! It was a good one tho. I got the ceviche, which was SO GOOD, a Caesar salad, which was yummy, and the chicken parm, which was HUGE, tender and flavorful. I’d give dinner an A+ tonight!

B asked for pizza about 9, so I went with her to get some. There was no line and the fresh pizzas took maybe 5 minutes? We got some and headed back to the room. It was hot, ooey, gooey, but slightly burnt. I’d give it a 6/10.
We are now watching some ghost show on TV as B debates her decision on eating pizza. Tomorrow is an EARLY day, we are in San Juan 7-1. Why such a short port time?? At least there’s a Walgreens (or is it CVS?) at the end of the pier for B to get seasick meds.

There is both a Walgreens and CVS across the street from the terminal.  Hope B feels better.
