Rare POA1 Posted April 26 #1 Share Posted April 26 Just stepped outside and I see that the MS Amera, operated by Phoenix Reisen, is at Terminal 26 – the main HAL terminal here in Fort Lauderdale. The Amera is the former Prinsendam, so she's back, kinda sorta... 8

FlyingCruiser2 Posted April 26 #8 Share Posted April 26 On Celebrity Reflection parked next to her. I remember being on it as a Royal Viking ship - yes, I’m aging myself!!

We're all pretty much "of the demographic." 😉
Rare rafinmd Posted April 26 #10 Share Posted April 26 Now confirmed for 6PM. Once she casts off I bet it won't take her long to leave. Roy
RuthC Posted April 26 #11 Share Posted April 26 She may be my favorite all time ship (neck and neck with Rotterdam V for the title). I wish HAL had her back. Thanks for the pic.

Rare POA1 Posted April 27 Author #16 Share Posted April 27 I've taken a LOT of sail away photos over the years, and that was one of the prettiest skies I've seen if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I'd have thought it was Photoshopped.
Infi Posted April 27 #17 Share Posted April 27 Thank you for sharing! It's lovely to see her again and the photos are great. Miss being able to sail her as Prinsendam, but I have to admit, the turquoise on the funnel looks sharp.

My biggest regret is it took me so long to chance a cruise on such an “old” ship. Best ship in the fleet always for me. 🙂
Rare POA1 Posted April 27 Author #19 Share Posted April 27 The local "salute" was pretty impressive. The air horns and bell ringing were top notch. Apparently, my fellow South Floridians - down here in God's waiting room - remember her fondly
