Former Prinsendam in Port Everglades

Just stepped outside and I see that the MS Amera, operated by Phoenix Reisen, is at Terminal 26 – the main HAL terminal here in Fort Lauderdale. The Amera is the former Prinsendam, so she's back, kinda sorta...

We were parked next to her in Huatulco Mexico in March 2023...she looks good!

According to the port schedule, she's to leave at 6PM. Not confirmed.

Thanks. I'll try to get a sail by picture.

On Celebrity Reflection parked next to her.  I remember being on it as a Royal Viking ship - yes, I’m aging myself!!

Just saw the Reflection sail by.

Don't worry about aging yourself. We're all pretty much "of the demographic." 😉

She may be my favorite all time ship (neck and neck with Rotterdam V for the title).
I wish HAL had her back.

Thanks for the pic.

Thanks for posting the picture. Brings back great memories we did three cruises on her, all trans Atlantic, two east bound one west bound.

I've taken a LOT of sail away photos over the years, and that was one of the prettiest skies I've seen if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I'd have thought it was Photoshopped.

Thank you for sharing! It's lovely to see her again and the photos are great. Miss being able to sail her as Prinsendam, but I have to admit, the turquoise on the funnel looks sharp.

Thanks so much for this.

Loved that little ship (or the EE as I called her). I think way over 1/2 my sailing days are on her.  My biggest regret is it took me so long to chance a cruise on such an “old” ship.  Best ship in the fleet always for me. 🙂

The local "salute" was pretty impressive. The air horns and bell ringing were top notch. Apparently, my fellow South Floridians - down here in God's waiting room - remember her fondly
