I have not cruised on the Glory yet however at the past guest party, they show pictures of all the ships and ask you to applaud for the ones you've been on and the Glory always gets a very loud round of applause so it seems like she is liked by many! She is on my list of ships to try in the not too distant future!

I've never been on the Glory but I have been on the Elation, Magic, Conquest and in March I'm going on the Triumph.

If you like to read there are plenty of books about Caribbean mysteries that I love reading. Death by Honeymoon is the first in a series of Caribbean Murder Mysteries by Jaden Skye that I highly recommend.

Seeing the 40 thousand posts on here of people running to hide under the covers about the illness-that-shall-not-be-named...I would love to see some people talking happy things :)

I'm going to be a first-timer in 57 days on the Glory and I'm super excited.

What's your favorite thing to do on your Carnival cruise? Any great moments/things that bring you to your happy place?

Ps: I want to clarify that I'm definitely not one of the doom and gloomers, I even live in the Cleveland/Akron area and I'd much rather think about my cruise :D

No Worries and just have fun.

I always bring hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes.

Use hand sanitizer after loading my plate at buffet. Watching some people waiting in line have some pretty disgusting habits. Problly don't even realize how much they touch their nose, eye's, hair, ear buds, etc.

I also bring Tums, Tylenol, Motrin, Aloe, sunscreen, bandaids, and the frame of mind that I'm on vacation.:p

Here's what I'm looking forward to: going to the airport, flying (both flights), traveling from FLL to holiday inn POM, dinner night before, grabbing a taxi to the port, checking in with FTTF, people watching while waiting to board, boarding, going to get HMC cabana assignment, atrium bar buying cheers, getting a kiss on the lips , going to our room and dropping our stuff, heading to guys for a burger, get another drink, roam roam roam, first MDR dinner with WCMC , first tender to HMC, enjoying a cabana just the two of us, rent a kayak, swim, shows, elegant night, miniature golf, casino fun, comedy shows, alchemy bar, perfect margarita at margaritaville, swimming in the blue warm ocean at grand turk, staying on board at Puerto Rico and enjoying pools and cheers, grabbing a cab and going to Maagens bay at st thomas, dressing up elegant night, sea days, cheers and more cheers and trying many new drink (never had a mojito but gonna have my first), relaxing, reading, and watching the ocean go by.

What I'm not looking forward to is the trip being over and the long plane ride back to oregon.

So, do I sound like I have my trip planned out?? Ha, it's what keeps me sane and going.

Just seeing the ship for the first time as you come into the port.

For our first cruise, DW talked me into going with a group that a co-worker was going with. I always associated a cruise with the rich. It was on the Destiny when she was only a year old. We flew into Miami a day early from Michigan where they had to de-ice the plane before we left. Got to Miami and it was in the 70's. (Wow, I could get use to this!)

The following morning we took a taxi to the port and was flabbergasted at the size of the Destiny. We boarded after waiting in line for what seemed like hours. By this time, I had watched Kathy Lee Gifford's commercials hundreds of times so I kind of knew what some of the inside of the Destiny looked like.

It still blew me away to actually see it in person.

When it was time to depart Miami, the ship was headed in the wrong direction. The ship pulled out and headed for the turn-around basin. When we got down there, the ship pivoted around on a dime. I could not believe a ship of that size could do a manuever like that. Before we left Miami, I told my wife that we were definately going to start cruising every chance we got.

Trust me, you will be hooked! As soon as we got home, I went to our bank and set up a special "Cruise Savings Account".

12 days until I leave for Miami to go on the Glory. I can't wait to hear that ding and let my worries roll off my shoulders!

I'm also looking forward to the new menu, doing the BOSS tour in St. Thomas and just enjoying the sun, sand and water.

I just got off the Glory two days ago and had so much fun that this morning I booked another cruise on her departing in less than three weeks!

I started writing a review of my cruise here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2116983
