There are two ships in port today departing on long cruises: the Prinsendam circumnavigation of South America and the Pacific Princess circumnavigating the world.

The Prinsendam will be docked at Pier 26 and is scheduled to set sail at 20:00/8:00 PM ET. The Pacific Princess will be at Pier 2 and depart at 16:00/4:00 PM ET. (Departure times are subject to change as always and longer cruises often depart late).

I so want to do that 67 day South American cruise. Why can't those Publisher Clearinghouse people drive their van to my house????;)

Thanks for the reminder, Peter.

LOL Kathi.

Thanks Peter - a daylight sailing for the Prinsendam sounds wonderful :)

So, I could not sleep. What is an addict to do? Indulge, of course! I watched a sail-in for a change.

Now I will try to go to sleep - at least it is not light out yet!

Kathi, we're both booked on World Cruises for 2018. I'm hoping the Elegant Explorer has at least 1 more year beyond that and the 2019 Grand South America is on my bucket list. I'd love to see you on it as well.

I have a meeting from 7:30 to 9 tonight. I hope sailaway is delayed until 9:30 or so. I've seen it happen often on these epic voyages.

Very nice pics Kathi :)

Darn - I misread Peter's opening post (needed more coffee I guess ;) ).

P'dam is sailing at 8 so it will be dark. Well, if she is on time, I will still be here.

I'm heading over to the Prinsendam at 10:45. This cruise is a dream come true for me.

You are going to love it. Did it a few years ago and when I get my home repairs done, I hope I have enough in the bank to do it again. Let us hear about it.

I so wanted to do this cruise especially since I have a dear friend and fellow cruiser who is on for the entire voyage 3 Jan- 6 May. But my cruises have already put me in debt and the Prinsendam is way to expensive.

Don't you hate the way home repairs get in the way of the fun stuff?:D

Hopefully, they are sitting outside my house, waiting for me to arrive home. ;)

We are sitting here in Half Moon with the Zuiderdam [both returning to FLL tomorrow].

Uncertain leaving times, have kept me from the sailaways - eating up too many minutes, I will be with you all tomorrow.

Enjoy the show - addicts. :D

Thanks for the reminder. I have voluntary work today, but should be finished for 8pm sailaway(2pm here). Lucky enough to see Ovation of the Seas on Otago harbour last evening leaving after her first visit to Port Chalmers.(Dunedin)
