Battery operated ashtray

I've read that some people are using this ashtray on occasion on balcony.

True?

First violation - Verbal warning followed up by a letter delivered to your cabin.

Second violation - $250.00 fine on your seapass account

Third violation - Disembarkment from ship

You decide if it's worth it

And trying to stir the pot on another board with he same question. Either that or trying to figure out which cruise line they have the better chance of getting away with breaking the rules.

http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2094573

Met a newlywed couple next door to us on the Oasis last week just as we were approaching our cabin on the first day.

Obviously they had friends travel with them as we could hear them on the balocny.

Almost everyday, if you opened the balcony door, the smell of marijuana was overwhelming.

Being from California....land of pot.... I know the smell.

My husband would get quite irratated and insist I close the door so the smell did not come into our room.

I have always enjoyed sitting on the balcony more than him , so I had to force myself to indur the smell :O)

Made me wonder though how strict they are to enforce the policy. There is no doubt in my mind that the cabin steward must have known what was going on.

The elevators also sometimes reaked of pot.

I know that is a foolish thing to do onboard....they can leave you at the next port....with the authorities.

They will probably face this problem more & more as some of our states legalize pot for medical and/or recreational use.

I do not envy them trying to enforce this policy.

Why didn't you report it? After all, it's illegal and impacted your use of the balcony.

Get an e-cig...no smell, and you can smoke it in your cabin.

Along with so many of your misinformed posts you've been advocating this for a while now on several threads. That's fine if that's what you think is the right thing to do, but to be clear for those who may not know the policy, RCI treats e-cigs in their policies the same as a regular cigarette which means they are not allowed anywhere indoors other than the designated smoking areas in the casino. Just don't get caught and its OK I guess it what you're saying.

" I'm telling".

Really??

Absolutely. It's impacting the neighbors and it's illegal. What more reason do I need? And, coming from you, this doesn't surprise me or affect me. After all, they're being stupid so why should anyone support that?
