Lucky they did not do this on the Breakaway when i was on the ship. I also find throwing anything in the air like the balloon or a ball is bad too, a few years ago, i almost got hit in the face with someone trying to grab the ball that was being passed around

Wow listen to all these post when did NCL become the geritall cruise line. Lighten up people if its to loud your to old if you don't like it don't go. LOL That was similar to my thought. Or even better, just don't go to the welcome aboard show. I'd no idea that anything like this was even going on.

I didn't even know they did that on my Breakaway cruise two weeks ago.

I have DEFINITELY heard this on NCL cruises!!!!

Unfortunately a simple and fun thread always turns personal for some on Cruise Critic. It was meant to be funny. It was about the song that is very annoying IMHO and so related to Carnival cruise lines. How much so? Even one poster said she guessed the song without even playing the link.

No one ever accused anyone of not having fun or enjoying themselves. Geeze Louise!

No one was making fun of anyone. It was a simple and light hearted thread. But I sometimes forget that some here have no sense of humor and start attacking the ones that do. The Debbie Downers are the ones that have no sense of humor and freak out over a music thread.

I cruised on Carnival Liberty in March and the waiters did a routine to "Gangnam Style". Pretty funny, actually.

I bet that all of the old folks who complained about this song, actually danced to it in 1962 when Bruce Channel recorded it.

For they who complain too much, HAL, and Cunard await.

I know that song for many more reasons that CCL, so it doesn't surprise me that they would play it in a party atmosphere, it's easy for people to sing along. It registered more with a chain of all-inclusives to me.

Not my thing, but hey, not everyone likes to spend their time being a degenerate gambler like me :)

....just so long as they don't do it in the dining room, while I'm trying to eat its okay....

(just don't know why it was so monotonously long.... same refrain over and over and over and over..... )
