  1. It sounds just like the Enchanted in the Caribbean. 95% of the people went unmasked for the most part.
  2. We ordered doubles all the time on the Enchanted. 2 for me and 2 for my husband and it was never a problem.
  3. Not that I care one way or the other but I can't help wondering what the reasoning is. 🥺
  4. They seemed to have forced the DR crew to adjust to it by letting them run it the best they can. On our last trip we had standing reservations for the complete cruise in one of the DR's and we changed to a different DR- same table each night. At that point it became impossible to cancel our original reservations. What good does it to leave the existing reservations on place especially if you can't modify them when on the ship? It only slows down seating for others standing in line.
  5. I suppose I don't see the advantage of making standing reservations but as I see it if you show up at your selected time (with the DR filled to capacity and people queued up for dining), might you be next to be seated ahead of them? What's to keep people from making standing reservations and then just showing up at any time to eat knowing they still have their reservation as a backup? Somehow this seems to be a self defeating way of running a DR unless everyone was in sync with the developers of this idea.
  6. Funny. We also got a check for forgotten $$ left in our Princess account yesterday also. They must have been cleaning up their past accounts.
  7. The dress requirements on formal nights in the dining room are now about the same as Specialty Restaurants. Some people participate in dressing up, some don't.
  8. I don't usually base my opinions on just a few comments by people I don't know but I've heard many people say the same thing as you. It's just not up to the same standards as it used to be prior to the shutdown. Maybe they need more time to get their act together since the ship has only recently returned to service.
  9. We've never paid much attention to the boarding times and just arrive at our normal early arrival time. They never deny anyone to enter the terminal in Florida and since we drive to the port we feel much safer arriving with plenty of time to spare should there be car trouble, accidents, rerouting, etc.
  10. On the Enchanted the dryers were in a desk draw in our cabin. There not strong but they do work.
  11. I'm not sure how a hearing aid would work but I can say that I used a Roku unit on the Enchanted recently and this had earphones built into the remote control. It worked well with my movies and as I recall I didn't try to use it for the Princess channels. It takes a little setting up initially to get it connected to their system plus having to manually switch it over each time you want to use it, but it does work with a little effort. They don't make it easy to just plug in your devices but it can be done.
  12. Same thing on the Enchanted last March. Most people just ignored their request and went on about living live without one. Wear one if you like .....or not.
  13. There was a comment on the internet that the buffet was back to complete self service. Is there any truth to that? (somehow I doubt it)
  14. Princess used to be very accommodating in the past about exchanges. Things may have changed but I would still bring it with you.
  15. In part it's because there are many people who don't realize it's an older ship. It's developed problems over the years from what I've read and given the choice between other newer ships, I'd take another one any day even if the price were the same.
  16. Yep, it works in a pinch but only if I run out of my regular shampoo.
  17. You an I are alone with that thinking. Almost everyone on this board seem to think that any benefit linked to a Princess level would cost Princess to much money and isn't at all necessary to keep past customers. That might be true since I haven't seen to many of the old timers abandon Princess for other lines yet.
  18. Just be aware that 6:30 is a peak time to eat in the DR. I don't know even if reservations will help much but you'll still make the show.
  19. Same here. On our last cruise we weren't forced to wear one anyplace on the ship except when getting off at a port or in the terminal. If you didn't have one in your pocket they always had extras handy.
  20. How do you keep track of which posts you've responded to?
  21. I think that what happened to my latest request. I'll have to keep on sending them until they respond with an answer. It seems silly for them not to solve the problem by doing their job thus reducing the repetitious emails they have to deal with.
  22. I don't know about others but it's the only way to indicate a following for any thread. Using the "Following" drop down option doesn't work for me. Neither does email.
  23. Same thing on the Enchanted. (Vista lounge) There were never more than 20 or so people there and since most people had the drink package and the appetizers were no where near as good as they used to be it wasn't worth the time.
  24. The aggravation of trying to keep up with these program changes is getting a little much. I've filled in as much as I did for last cruise, which was sufficient, and will be arriving when we normally do with all my paperwork in hand. Maybe some day they'll have it straightened out but for now I'll let the others be the guinea pigs. Thankfully the medallion app works once on the ship without to many problems.
