  1. Yes I learned that a while ago. I mean really folks like chips with sandwiches so cruise lines should serve them.
  2. Wow knowing you have covid and still sailing is rather disappointing to hear.
  3. Yes I agree. For instance I love salads and in MDR a salad comes out with little variety other than greens and one piece of tomato. That is why I like WJ so I can make my own. Also I like to look at the dessert selections because in MDR what you read and what comes to the table can be small and boring with little taste.
  4. I agree and some folks will post a lot to keep up their count and clog up thread with a lot of photos.
  5. well over the years I can do just as good of a job except perhaps offer myself OBC
  6. aw ok I suppose the person who was sure it was capt Per might have been wrong or Per was filling in for a belated Capt Rob.
  7. folks are saying the same thing about MDR too. seems like food is becoming an issue more and more. I just mentioned buffet thats all
  8. oh the dreaded app that goes wonky almost 50% of the time. I gave up and just walked to the restaurant to view the menu. I had a cruise one where the app wiped out everyone's reservations for shows, food etc. Took 20 hours to redo. what a ess
  9. oh yes same thing being said on Celebrity cc. One couple said for Oceanview one week was wonderful and the next week awful and empty. This might be a reoccurring theme of 2023. The death of the buffet.
  10. oh I do not know about that I had one let me down by saying I am good to go and then when I go to London, I did not have proper paperwork for a transfer. I bet that agent might have still chattered the same words to the TA too.
  11. thanks right. Just look at all the bragging everywhere. Just because you say it does not mean it will happen or be success.
  12. wow and OMG what a conversation. Sounds like the most round around crap I have heard in quite a while. hmmm think I will pass on sailing on MSC for now. thanks for sharing.
  13. Ohhhh thanks, Gee I must have missed that and I do cc and you tube a lot. huh. great news thanks
  14. just seems crazy to have to do stuff at midnight. Then again, in the parks they have 7am virtual ques. I am glad I do not need anything special when I go on my Disney cruises as I go without kids and just like the free stuff. But feel for those who are having a hard time.
  15. I have to wonder if they might create some solo rooms since the JOY does not have any, If JOY stays in USA waters, they might make even more changes. time will tell
  16. for the most part early shows are around 7pm but can be 6:30. Late shows are 9pm or 9:30. These times are pretty close to average in my opinion. But comedy clubs can be much later too.
  17. Just to add something, I was on NCL in July and I chose to not go on my excursion and did not show up. Much to my surprise I got 70% refund as a no show. wow no other cruise line would have done this.
  18. not so desperate that they would not allow me to make changes and I lost my $300 all because of initial booking and my not paying cruise insurance up front. Would not let me add in later. HAL can keep their dame $1 deposits. Princess does it better IMHO and do not ask for any prepaid crap you do not want.
  19. wow and this is a new ship!!!!!. Must be a staffing issue. Over on Celebrity there is a thread about Ocean view cafe having many options one week, and the next week greatly reduced by 75%. The more I read, the less I want to cruise. I think so much more drama and issues with everything is happening to all the cruise lines. Well except Disney.
  20. hoping the Bermuda does not charge $40 to get onto the island. If not, then I am glad I have been twice and no need to go back.
  21. well I had a nice time last year on my 6 Royal and 1Celebrity. I found Celebrity buffet to be slightly better for salad bar and also at lunch. I think 2023 will be a year of upheaval as all the cruise lines now try to pay down debt. Once Carnival started with all their changes, one by one the other cruise lines will also do. they copycat each other. I predict once people scratch their itch to travel, they will then ease back. I found the You tube video on page one by the OP to really be alarming though. I mean really a bit sad.
  22. wow that just seems silly to me. I know NCL if you have special dining promo, you just reserve ahead of time and no payment. Sounds like Princess make the process harder than it needs to be.
  23. well reviews for the Prima have said that a lot of venues are small. If you have never been on any Oasis class ships, I think Wonder would be a nice one to start off with. Lot depends on itinerary and or price.
  24. go on the Harmony as she is a nice ship, and you will save money. besides, Harmony has a Broadway show called GREASE which is fun.
  25. i sail solo and I still would not buy the key.
