  1. It all depends - Mariana was docked in the town center when we embarked.....
  2. We are sailing on 09SEP on Regatta and know we can book a cruise 30 days prior and get onboard savings...I wonder if we can combine the Labor Day sale with the onboard savings?
  3. We have found line dancing and other type of dancing offered during the day, karaoke late night in Horizons - guess it depends upon the CD and if it is a port intensive cruise.
  4. Yes - no change in policy ....for consumption in your room bring aboard anything you want in any quantity. Bottles of wine still charged $25.00 corkage for consumption in dining areas.
  5. When we sailed on Marina in Nov, O provided a transfer to and from the Marco Polo airport to the ship in Trieste on embarkation and debarkation day. We chose to fly in early and stay in Trieste, we have been to Venice several times. We organized our own transfer to Trieste. Trieste and surrounding countryside is beautiful and so glad we stayed in Trieste.
  6. Same with us....haven't seen an O brochure either but Regent and Viking (which we have never sailed) keep the recycle bin full!
  7. Your choice will be reflected on your Oceania invoice.....plus check with your TA
  8. We have had both the house and the premium drinks package - last was November on Marina and with the house could order wine at any dining venue including specialty restaurants and with premium could order liquor at any dining venue (except a few specialty drinks). Will be on Regatta in September and let you know if anything has changed.
  9. My guess is they ill continue to offer the La Reserve experience -perhaps in the dining room attached to the culinary center The Culinary Center The Culinary Center will serve as an interactive stage for the ship’s Chef Instructors. Guests will be able to learn as well as dine at the Culinary Center Dining Room, which is good for private group dining or special food and wine pairings.
  10. I believe it was posted that this was a special dinner for the media and not the regular menu....
  11. Most insurance policies allow you to change your dates(as most policies have a specific date coverage)..ask your TA to amend your policy to cover from the date you depart until the date you arrive back home
  12. We booked a cruise when the Ultimate offer was available last May in the US and it clearly stated that it was for new bookings only.....so unless your cruise was basically unsold, most of the rest of your fellow cruisers will not have those perks....
  13. We are on the same cruise.....we have 2 of the proctored home test on hand which we can take with us if needed. I suspect that there will be a much clearer picture in a month....
  14. We have had 100 shares of NCL stock for several years and have used the OBC many times. It can be used for anything that is charged to your on board account - gratuities, spa treatments, purchases from the boutique, etc. As far as I know, the only thing you can't use it for is in the casino. There are some O promotions that do not allow using the NCL stock OBC but it is clearly stated in the terms and conditions of the promotion. For example, the last Ultimate Sale did not allow the NCL stock OBC but you could use the AMEX cruise privilege amenities. We have had other promotions that were the opposite.
  15. We do not qualify for a free deviation and have not had the deviation waved so my comments were from the "same shoes" as you....bad assumption on your part.
  16. So they do make smoothies in the AM just not special breakfast types? I usually am just looking for a fruit smoothie so did not pay attention if they had the breakfast types.....good to know
  17. 4 river and 3 Ocean plus have friends currently on a River cruise with 2 more planned,......did you pay $50.00 for flying in days ahead or just to pick your flights? It clearly states that is is $50.00 pp to pick your own flights with no date or city deviation. Why so defensive - I just posted what is on the Viking website and what we and our friends have experienced?
  18. That is not correct: Copied from the Viking website: "Viking Air Plus is not offered 65 days or less before departure. Based on the itinerary, $50 to $100 per guest non refundable fee applies, as well as any additional fees based on the difference between the selected air and the air price paid. Date or city deviations and stopover fees are typically between $100 and $300 additional. Airlines have advised that seat assignments are subject to change therefore are not part of the Air Plus program. " To choose your own flights with no day deviation costs $50 -$100 per person and then they add an additional $100 - $300 per person to deviate date so a minimum of $150.00 per person to deviate and fly in a day ahead......and generally costs more for International flights. Oceania is charging close to or less than other cruise lines,
  19. I agree - we have sailed on the R ships and gotten smoothies from WAVES ice cream/milkshake/smoothie area for breakfast. Love to grab one of those on my way to breakfast out on Terrace.
  20. This is the first I have heard that UA Premier members automatically receive $200 OBC.....how does that work and how do you receive?
  21. The bathrooms on the Marina and Riviera are much larger in the regular cabins....on the smaller ships, the bathrooms are all the same size until you book a Penthouse. Many people use the showers in the Spa area if they have one of the "tighter" bathrooms.
  22. We have friends that flew yesterday and today from West Coast to Europe...no problem with canceled flights, baggage arrived just fine and enjoying their pre-cruise days...this was via AMS and LHR...hope this helps
  23. If you are eating lunch at Waves then they bring your wine or beer from the Waves bar.....
  24. Oceania allows all type of alcohol to be brought onboard at embarkation and at ports for consumption in your room. They do allow taking a bottle of wine to a dining venue where they charge a $25.00 corkage fee and will store your wine for future drinking at any dining venue, if you do not finish the bottle.
