  1. You have been misinformed, there is a small library on the Moon on the port side of the Observation Lounge. I would guess there are between 150 and 200 fiction books. I managed to find 2 long books, both relatively recent that occupied a 19 day voyage. There are also a handful of paperbacks left by guests.
  2. At the end of October Alessandro Zanello was Captain and Daniele Franco was HD. Julian (cannot remember his surname) was the MD and he got on in Lisbon on the 18th when Gilbert went home for a holiday, so he should still be there.
  3. Thanks for taking the time to post, really appreciate your thoughts.
  4. There are some very interesting questions raised on the Viking boards about just how this happened and whether the ship is actually fit for purpose. What would worry me is just how low those guests cabins are, and how close to the water line. The older ships would have had lockable portholes that low down.
  5. Lucky you, for our last 2 cancellations (by SS) we got a great big fat zero!
  6. I also checked the Chronicles for the current Whisper voyage down the SA Pacific coast, and no mention of jeans. So SS, why is the Moon dress code different?
  7. That’s interesting, on our recent 19 Moon voyage, every single day the Chronicle had a little note in the Dress Code section on the front ‘no shorts, jeans or flip flops after 6pm in indoor venues’
  8. Also thanks @highplanesdrifters, does the suite have a tub?
  9. La Dame is much smaller on the Muse than the Moon and Dawn, and IMHO has a much better atmosphere.
  10. I think you will find that he just got off the Wind!
  11. Is the Captain giving a daily update?
  12. Too right it does, the discredited UK measure that really reflects things for the OAP’s just hit 14.2% here.
  13. We did a T/A from Lisbon to Ft Lauderdale on the Moon in Nov last year, arriving early Dec, there is a ‘live’ report on here.
  14. You may be but there are others onboard who are outraged.
  15. Glad to hear that things have improved on the ex Silver Sewage @highplanesdriftersand that you are having a good time in Peru. Excellent photos too!
  16. The replacement barman in the S.A.L.T. Bar was nowhere near as good and definitely had an attitude problem.
  17. If they have any sense at all it will be done before the WC
  18. @highplanesdrifterswhen we were in Ecuador on the Cloud 3 years ago we had a special wine and chocolate party onshore for all the quests and we’re each gifted a Panama hat.
  19. Oh please don’t go. Is it something we said?
  20. Really, they are not particularly well run at present and all RCG has done so far is degrade the product.
  21. There were no daily temperature checks on the Moon recently unless you happen to quarantined in your suite with covid.
