  1. At the end it says it doesn’t include Journeys Cruises. I’m leaving on a Journeys Cruise this Sunday so was a bit disappointed to see that.
  2. I have never seen or heard of a Cheers sale.
  3. I’m on the Celebration TA leaving on 11/6/22. I booked the steakhouse in June.
  4. Carnival’s website gets very busy starting at 12:00 AM, so if you don’t get in right away, just keep trying. If you get stuck partway through the check-in process, you can exit out and go in again. It will save what you have already completed. Some people skip right to the arrival appointment section and go back to do the remainder of the check-in.
  5. I’m a non drinker, so the wine isn’t important to me, but friends I have dined with have ordered the free red and white, and they said the wine was good.
  6. There is a choice of white or red. They don’t mention the specific brand or type, just white or red. They also offer 50% off a bottle of any wine on their menu.
  7. In Seattle admission to the terminal was supposed to be by the arrival time on your boarding pass, but that wasn’t adhered to. Once inside the building and through security, there were separate check-in lines for suites, diamond/platinum, and general. But once boarding started, it was strictly by the boarding group number on your boarding pass. Suites were called first, then A01, A02, etc. People in wheelchairs went right after suites, at the same time as A01.
  8. I have had suction cup grab bars in my shower at home, and they work “pretty well,” although I had one that failed as I was holding onto it. Luckily I didn’t fall, but have now replaced the suction cup ones with permanently installed grab bars. Not taking any chances.
  9. Awesome deal! I wish deals like that would come my way.
  10. Carnival’s Fly2Fun program only offers economy fares. Some people have reported that they have been able to upgrade on the airline’s website after booking with Fly2Fun. I wasn’t able to do that. YRMV.
  11. Just ask your cabin steward and they will bring extra hangers.
  12. People in suites still have to select an arrival (not boarding) time, but can show up anytime.
  13. I have Samsung Smart tags that I got on Amazon. About $50 for 2 of them, as I recall. I have used them on cruises and have been happy with them.
  14. Try to find a cabin that is between two lifeboats. I was in cabin 5151 on the Pride (sister ship) and there was some view down to the water. The cabin was fine and yes, I could see out. I would rather have a regular balcony though, if the difference in cost wasn’t too much.
  15. Very often the military rate is early saver.
  16. The offers for military are few and far between, but it’s worth checking. If there is an offer, it may or may not include OBC.
  17. There’s no time limit. You can buy the stock and apply for the OBC right away using the trade confirmation as your proof of ownership. Your son will be fine. There is only one OBC allowed per cabin, so either you or your husband would claim it, but not both.
  18. Thank you so much for another awesome review! Looking forward to your next one. Enjoy your upcoming cruise.
  19. Has this been officially announced by Carnival yet? It seems like we’re hearing it from cruisers rather than Carnival.
  20. I have sent in my requests many times prior to final payment and they have never been denied.
  21. DH takes insulin with him, and we have found that the availability of medi-coolers varies a lot. More often than not when we go to Guest Services as soon as we’re on the ship, they say they don’t have any or they’re already taken by other people. An alternative is having the medical center store the insulin, which worked for DH. He went down there whenever he needed to and got his insulin.
  22. Great pictures—you’re well on your way to a great cruise. I always enjoy your reviews.
  23. This picture came up just fine. The other ones haven’t though.
