  1. It wouldn’t quality under the soda, since that has to be in cans. I don’t have any personal knowledge, but I would hope they will let you take it aboard as your bottle of wine. If you just have it in your carry-in and say nothing about it, they would probably assume it’s your allowed bottle of wine.
  2. That’s one of the reasons my sister held off, to give the people in the audience a chance to win. I later found out from the CD that once the contestant on stage takes their win, the game continues so the people in the audience still have their chance to win.
  3. When I was on the Panorama a couple of weeks ago, my sister came along, and it was her first Carnival cruise. She was just going to watch Deal or No Deal and “see what it’s like” before buying a card. I convinced her to buy, and lo and behold, her number was selected to go on stage. She only won $103, having turned down $200+, but it sure was fun for her, and for me watching her too!
  4. To me the $25 is worth the entertainment value. I have won a $25 bingo package more than half the time, and I have also won the $30 casino play and the $50 cash. I’ll continue to play, but I only buy one $25 card for each game.
  5. 1. Your cabin is unlikely to be changed by Carnival unless they switch ships on you. It does happen, but not often. If they changed to another ship, they would give you what they consider a comparable cabin. 2. Online check-in starts at 12:00:01 AM Eastern time. Since you’re in Colorado, be on-line and ready at 10:00 PM your time. Then skip the first several pages of check-in and go directly to the page where you can select your arrival time. Once you have done that, go back and fill in the earlier pages.
  6. Take a look at the deck plans and try to find a cabin located between the lifeboats. I was in cabin #5151 on the Pride last April and it had a peek-a-boo view between the lifeboats. There are others, so if you can get one of those, do it.
  7. Good thing he found it and is getting it to her tonight. She would almost certainly NOT have been able to board the ship tomorrow without it.
  8. If it were me, I’d use the Carnival transfer from FLL.
  9. Your best option is to see the maitre’d on embarkation day to request a change to early or your time dining. Get to the dining room around 1:30 that day. Good luck!
  10. I just got off Panorama on Saturday 1/21 after sailing B2B 1/7 through 1/21. The 1/7 cruise itinerary was Cabo first, then Mazatlan, then Puerto Vallarta. Due to propulsion issues we were 5 hours late to Cabo, resulting in a very short stay there, about 3-1/2 hours total. Many people didn’t get off the ship, and they gave us $100 per cabin OBC for the inconvenience. The propulsion issues were supposedly corrected while at sea, and the rest of the itinerary was on time. On the 1/14 cruise the itinerary was Puerto Vallarta first, then Mazatlan and Cabo. Everything totally on schedule.
  11. I got off the Panorama last Saturday. Diamond debarkation, off at 9:15 for a 2:00 flight. Took Carnival shuttle and got to LAX at about 10:55. Was able to change my flight to the 11:55 (no charge with Delta) and made it with time to spare. I had TSA pre-check which helped. If you do self-debarkation or have diamond/platinum/suite debarkation, you should make it easily, especially if you have TSA pre-check.
  12. Unfortunately there are those who would take advantage of an exception and share a Cheers package. It’s not that difficult to fake a doctor’s note. That makes it difficult for people who truly have a medical condition that prohibits drinking alcohol.
  13. I find it’s much easier to pre-order the 12 pack of water bottles from Carnival and they’re right in your cabin when you get there. No need to lug all those bottles onto the ship.
  14. You can buy a Carnival gift card at Cherry on Top with OBC (refundable or non-refundable). The minimum gift card is $100. It can be used for anything on Carnival. Deposit or payment on future cruises, booking shore excursions or specialty dining, applying towards Cheers, etc.
  15. I just got off the Panorama on Saturday, two cruises B2B. On the second leg I was in cabin 1205, which is starboard but in the same area you’re talking about booking. I loved the porthole cabin. It was quiet most of the time but when the waves were particularly high I could hear them hitting the side of the ship. It didn’t bother me at all. I did hear the anchor when we got to Cabo, but it didn’t surprise me and I considered it my alarm clock for the early arrival in Cabo. I have a porthole cabin booked for B2B next January on the Panorama. I highly recommend them.
  16. Having the MDR above you isn’t so bad. There is carpeting to da pen the sound, and it’s not generally in use during the time people are sleeping. I have been in cove balconies under the MDR with no noise issues at all.
  17. Anytime between now and when you arrive at the terminal. Keep checking because they won’t send you an email letting you know your cabin has been assigned. It may or may not be assigned before the online check in date. If you don’t have a cabin assignment before you arrive at the terminal, the person checking in bags will have your cabin number to put a tag on your luggage. Good luck!
  18. I would suggest contacting the Special Needs department to answer this question and get what assistance they an offer.
  19. If you don’t bring a device, you can just show up and the staff at the YTD restaurant will check you in. Then you’ll wait near the restaurant for your table to be ready. It’s more streamlined for everyone involved if you use the app, but they do accommodate those who don’t have devices.
  20. I’m glad you’re going to be on the cruise, Lettie. Lots of changes since the restart. For one thing, roll calls aren’t as active as you noticed. Looking forward to seeing you in May! Nancy
  21. It’s true that in order for the PVP to get credit, they must be the one to take the deposit. If they don’t take the deposit they aren’t obliged to help with any problems that come up. Recently I had a great deal on hold, and wasn’t able to get ahold of my PVP. About 2 hours before the hold was to expire, I got an email from Carnival asking whether I needed more time to decide, and there was a button to push to extend the hold. I did that, and my cabin and fare were held for an additional 48 hours, during which time I did get ahold of my PVP.
  22. Looks like the Panorama made it to Long Beach on time, and the next cruise is set to leave this afternoon. Hopefully the problem has been solved.
  23. I read about that too. I hope they’re able to get the problem fixed soon. Lots of people are awaiting their New Year’s Eve cruise on Panorama. I’m booked on the 1/7/23 and 1/14/23 cruises so crossing my fingers.
  24. I had it happen also. I was already past final payment date, and the cruise was fully paid for. Once I hit the button for vacation protection it automatically added it and said my payment was past due. I was fine with having the insurance so I just paid the amount on line right away.
