I have done solo cruises to Alaska on the Pearl and the Jewel many times. I always book an inside cabin. Works fine for me. The question would be is it easier for you to do a roundtrip cruise or a one way cruise. The Encore and the Bliss leave and return to Seattle. Some Sun cruises will also be roundtrip. The Bliss leaves and returns on a Saturday. The Encore on Sundays. The Sun's cruises will vary in length. Both the Jewel and the Spirit will sail out of Vancouver, British Columbia. The Spirit will sail to Valdez, Alaska (a new port of NCL) and the Jewel to Seward, Alaska. Whatever cruise you do, you will have a wonderful time.

There is very little space to hang up clothes or to stack clotheson the shelves (no drawers). Even on three week cruises, I take 1 "24" suitcase and a backpack. I only take one or two dresses. You can always sent things out to the laundry (not delicate things or anything that will bleed). If you can reach it, there is a clothesline in the shower. Enjoy

Depending on the show in that space, it could be. My standard rule for booking a cabin is to make sure that I have cabins above and below as close to the center of the ship as possible. You do not want public spaces above or below your cabin.

This is $50 per port. It has to be used in each port. If you do not use it,, you lose.

What used to be the White Hot Party is now Neon Party. Parties usually start about 10:00 P.M. or later (very loud and crowded). No special clothing needed for any of them.

I am close to booking a cruise in early November 2023 from New York City to New Orleans on The Breakway. What is your plan??

They sailed from Panama City at 10:30 P.M. according to the date and time stamp on their Bow Web Cam. They sailed a very short distance, got in line to enter The Panama Canal very early on the morning of the 8th of November (4:30 A.M.)

I think what you have gotten is an "Arrival Time" to the terminal to begin the check-in process. Boarding time is unknown with every cruise. Depends on when the last passengers left, whether or not there are drills or inspection and what time the ship is cleared to begin boarding.

The Escape just left Lisbon yesterday for the US and Her Winter Season.

The Encore is in Panama City today crossing through the Canal tomorrow. I believe that Bong is also on The Prima.

Christmas is a magical time on an NCL ship. Check out all the beautiful decorations. Somewhere on board should be a very elaborate Gingerbread Village. With this being a Christmas cruise, it will probably be very crowded-- lots of multi-generational families on board. Check your Freedaily each evening and see what you want or do not want to do the next day. Freestyle-- choose where to eat, and what activities to do or not do-- your call. Enjoy your cruise, the ship, Her staff and most importantly your family.

WOW!! It is too early for that much snow. All Southeastern Washington and Northeastern Oregon got was very high sustained damaging winds and lots of rain.

Somewhere on board ship should be a very elaborate Gingerbread Village display. It is something to see. Takes a lot of time planning, preparing and putting the display together.

According to Norwegian's website, currently their partnership hotel in New York City is Marriot Marquis (1535 Broadway). Given that this is a major chain hotel, they can probably to suggest and make arrangements for your sightseeing.

Can you make the Re-Positioning cruise next year. I think I will book it.

I have sailed both the Jewel and the Getway. The Getaway has a lot to offer in the way of different restuarants and entertainment. On the Getaway, the Waterfront (outside deck area) is a perfect place to watch the ocean roll by. I love the Getaway as much as I love the Jewel.
