  1. We did recently on the Glory. You can either put it on the slots, and then cash out. Or put it on your card at the tables. But that costs a 3% surcharge.
  2. Who was the comic that offended you? I love offensive comics, so want to be on the lookout for this one.
  3. That must be a ship to ship thing. My wife and I were sit with random people for dining way more than we sat solo. And we don’t mind that at all.
  4. But you can’t board without the negative test., so it would be moot if the results don’t come through.
  5. I wear shorts, not gym shorts, every night in the MDR except for elegant night. Then I wear long pants. Not a suit. Business casual.
  6. This is correct. I’ve seen some folks talk about doctor’s note. That’s not necessary. But it has to be a result from a lab, not the at home. Unless it’s an emed type at home.
  7. Caught a case last week, so now we are good for our next 3 cruises. Did not get it on the first leg of the B2B. But did in the second. As for masks on our cruises, I’d say it was south of 5%. If that high. And most were just cloth masks with peoples noses hanging out.
  8. We just did B2B on the Glory. At 9:00 in the morning, it never took more than 15 minutes for 4 of us to get a table. So there are definitely differences between the ships. As I said before, I didn’t think the lines were all that long compared to before. I just got a feel for when things were long and adjusted. Never took me that long to get food. The Deli would get the longest in terms of wait. I’m guessing because it was made to order stuff compared to other venues.
  9. We got off the Glory Sunday and nope. Neither embarkation or disembarkation.
  10. Just got off B2B on the Glory. No testing between cruises.
  11. Glad they gave you a good credit for this situation. Luckily, we can drive to all the ports in Florida and NO. Up to 8 hours, but still. One thing I would never do is try and fly (or drive) in the day of the cruise. I wouldn’t have done that prepandemic and wouldn’t do it now. The stress alone would get me.
  12. When the got rid of the platinum party, they added in a drink. My wife got hers. I didn’t. But it wasn’t a big deal because I had the drinks in the casino. would rather have the party.
  13. I think I somehow messed up getting my free platinum drink on my last 2 cruises. Maybe because my first drink was in the casino and already free and the system didn’t realize it was already comped? Anyway, I like the parties. Don’t really care if I meet the captain.
  14. The Indian vegetarian in the MDR. Not because I’m a vegetarian. It was just really that good. Had it in addition to other entrees almost every night.
  15. I’d have an extra. I got on my test and the bottle of solution wasn’t in the box. Luckily, I got a 3 pack and was able to take the test without scrambling.
  16. I wasn’t able to use gmail this past week on the social plan.
  17. Only been on two cruises post pandemic but I have found the lines similar to before. I agree with the poster who said there can be herd mentality for certain venues so I just get a feel for what time of day things get busy and adjust accordingly.
  18. My wife and I did it at the same time. But in different rooms just to make sure we didn’t talk over each other.
  19. I’d rather go to grand Turk than Freeport or Nassau. We live Grand Turk. Easy access to a great beach.
  20. On a cruise right now. Have 3 more cruises within the next 90 days. If I came back home next week and tested positive, I’d feel like I hit a small lottery ticket to get out of the future testing.
  21. NOLA port is quick boarding (unless maybe there is something delayed with the disembarkation) so picking a later time is fine.
  22. Got it. Don’t get me wrong, if someone saw a doctor and has a note, better to be safe. Never know what hassle there might be at the port.
  23. Right. Sorry. Just saw some folks talking about the requirements in general. Not sure where the letter from a doctor came from. Maybe the European requirements? Because sometimes the Carnival language is fuzzy. But not in this case.
  24. I can’t speak for the Europe requirements but my sister got on the Glory Sunday with just the positive lab test result beyond 10 days. The Carnival site is pretty clear that’s all that is needed so not sure why they would ask for anything else at the port.
