Towel animals on X

Just curious as it seems this fun item of the past has slowly disappeared on other ships??? So do they on Celebrity?

Sometimes. On Eclipse just now I had them three times. On Infinity last month, twice. Reflection in January, none.

I would suspect that if you drop your steward a hint that you like them, he or she just might create them for you.

Not often, but it is fun when you return to your room and find a surprise.

Over all my cruises with Celebrity, I had a towel animal one evening.

Just ask - My sister and I get towel animals every night - a 20$ bill out of the shoot doesn't hurt either.

Got a few on the Solstice in January

Celebrity don't go crazy with towel animals the way Carnival does.

We got none on our Summit cruise. First night or two we missed them, but not after that.

I can't recall to many if any towel animals on X, but my question on other lines is 'are they clean or ones recently used and left in the cabin'. I'm not joking we never know.

we had 2 on Reflection last week from our cabin steward Jim (who was wonderful!)

our daughter & her friend had 2 as well from their cabin steward.

certainly not something I need every night, but the 2 were fun to walk in & see at bedtime.

We got one towel animal one night of our eclipse Ta. Funnily enough that night we didnt receive any after dinner chocolates, thinking the towel animal was just a substitute.

In more than 30 cruises on X, I never saw a towel animal.

Only one in a week on Millennium. What a bummer too, I enjoy coming back to one in the evening!

What I did was instead of asking I made up a few for them.

time cost $$$$ so they kinda cut hem out , my guess. do not be suprized if you have them or not.

Towel animals do not make or break a cruise, though the surprise is nice. Please bear in mind the busy attendants have far more rooms to look after than they used to so encouraging staff to take the time to make animals by whatever method in your room might lead to others getting a less good service as the staff are already very tight for time

Personally I go for a really well cleaned room each night than a towel friend

My partner and I took a couple of our pets stuffed toys with us (don't ask) and put them on the bed (Yes we missed her while away).

3 or 4 times (during a 12 night cruises) the room stewardess made a towel animal and put the stuff toy animals as part of the 'scenario' usually sitting either side or arms wrapped around each other. Was nice....but don't think I would have wanted it ever night so glad as it would have been a bit 'naff' as we say in Australia.

And if she hadn't done it, it would not have worried us either.

But we did have the chocolates every night, fresh ice and the bed turned down irrespective of towel animal or not.

Yes time is on paper work and one cannot put that to reality

Just returned from Silhouette and had a towel animal every night. It would have been fantastic if the Attendant remembered a few other things like our afternoon snacks (We were in AQ) and getting the shower fixed.

With my non-existent talents in art...my towel art, left for the Stateroom Staff, consists of towels in a heap on the bathroom floor !!:D Not sure if that results in great laughter from them...:D

Yet they still reciprocate, much appreciated, with frequent towel animals...I just love those cruise staff !! Always take such great care of ...all of us !!

Not a one on Eclipse & Infinity recent 14-day cruises . . .

On Solstice from Sydney 4 March 2013, we found a pig in cabin 1255 on the 1st formal night. Then a turtle on the 2nd (last) formal night.

And chocolates each and every nights! :)

I can only remember one, on the Silhouette. I think X must leave it up to the stewards, in contrast to lines like NCL where it seems mandated (at least we have had one every night of every cruise we have been on with them).

We got one on our Reflection Cruise last week. That's fine as long as they don't forget to leave the chocolate every night!!

I've spent a fair number of nights on Celebrity and have yet to see a towel animal in my cabin.
