Cruise Document Folder

I have searched for the threads, but can't seem to find it. A member on here had posted an amazon link to a folder they use to keep all cruise documents organized. Does anyone remember seeing the link to amazon for that folder? It was either on this board or RCCL's..don't remember as these are the only ones i frequent.

Thanks

I just keep my paperwork in one of the old photo folders they give out. As I make my reservations I add it in order of which I will need it. When packing I just use a 5x7 envelope, I keep my immediate reservations like my airline boarding pass' and hotel confirmation in my purse, and keep the rest of the paperwork in the envelope in a secure pocket in my carry on. Then when checking in the hotel, I ask them to shred the used paperwork and take out my cruise boarding pass' and keep the rest in the safe until disembarkment...

I use a presentation binder. It has the metal tabs so I can put paper that has been hole punched or plastic sleeves. I keep everything in there from hotel reservations to my boarding passes and cruise info as well as anything I may have bought or paid for (FTTF, Spa, casino cash) before the cruise.

On our Med cruise, I even used zip lock compartments for my daily Euros (we took cash as well as credit card).

I probably overdo it, but I have been lucky to never need anything.

There are several electronic apps that will organize any trip, cruise or vacation without the need for paper. TripCase is one we used for a 7 week Australia, New Zealand and Cook Islands trek.

TripCase and TripIt are just alike in what they do. I use TripIt. No need to carry any papers on vacation.

Really ? I have no words ....

Really? You can get a good dictionary or thesaurus on Amazon or your local book store. That's the store in the mall with all the shelves full of rectangular paper objects with writing on them.

There are people who for any number of reasons prefer to keep printed documents rather than digital ones. No need to look down your nose. If it works for them, then it works for them. If you have another way of keeping your docs in a row, then good for you.

In today's world of technology, I still print out EVERYTHING. It can be pretty much that one hand doesn't know what the other is doing, and you need paper back up to prove your argument. I have had two recent issues where I needed proof and having the paper copy proved invaluable in getting my refund or what was due me. I still have electronic back up on my phone in files if I need to show additional information, but paper proves me well.

I have electronic PDFs of all of my documents stored in Google Drive. I will print out certain key documents PRIOR to the embarking on my trip "just in case" such as my airline confirmation, booking, and cruise insurance.

I use a multi-pocket accordion folder; each major segment has a pocket: departing air, hotel, cruise docs, return air, etc.

I also have copies of the docs scanned and on my phone.

I don't completely rely on the cloud to store my documents as I've had a hotel clerk tell me their system is down and can't tell if we have reservations but won't look at our phone, mobile boarding pass won't let us board, international cell/data spotty, non-existent, login is in a foreign language, and an immigration officer before letting us into his the country, wanted to see our departing documents, but won't look at or touch our phones, and the almost dead battery.

I have, once, had to pull out the paper hotel confirmation. The hotel had overbooked. From the arguments I got from the check-in clerk, I'm not sure how things would have gone if I did not have that paper copy to pull out and show the manager. As it was, they put me up at a different (nicer) hotel and paid for the taxi to take me there.

I put each shore excursion's balance in cash and the reservation paperwork, such as directions to the meeting spot and balance due in a separate envelope. The envelopes then go in an envelope accordion file. Then I just pull out the envelope for that day. Works nicely for us. Happy Planning

I use a 1/2 inch binder and put copies of my reservations in plastic sleeves with other misc papers. I also use a 3 hole binder zip pouch for receipts and cash in envelopes if required for specific tours.

I also have everything backed up on my Kindle. My trips are rather complex as we use transatlantic cruises to get to Europe and then fly or take trains or buses to different cities. I would use a simple pocket folder if it was just a Caribbean sort of cruise.

That's basically what I do to. Accordion file, labeled for air, cruise docs, hotel, insurance, etc. as well as each day's excursions in separate envelopes with the money needed to pay for the excursion, plus tips. Excursion envelopes go in the safe.

I through away each document that is no longer needed, such as hotel info after we have checked out.

Due to mishaps with electronic docs, I do not rely just on that.

I use windowed envelops, one for cruise, one for air, one for hotel... very easy I even write on the front the booking numbers, hotel address/phone number so easily accessible. Less weight and bulk... I have the old cruise folders from Princess, HAL etc., no longer use.

I’m not sure a paper copy would be different from showing them the email confirmation. They have the same information.

I do keep most everything on my phone (with offline backups as downloads and screenshots) but I do have copies of Id paperwork. Trip it lets you save id under additional security so I’ll have that as well just in case. Those go in a plastic document folder when we travel. For our cruise, I’ll print out our confirmation letter as well since it has all the cruise info in one place.

I don't have problems in the US, but elsewhere: A hotel clerk wanted to see a paper copy of our reservations and did not want to look at the email confirmation on my phone. After 15 hrs on an airplane and 2 hours in a car to the hotel I just gave her my printed copy of the same email confirmation and she accepted that
