I love having the all inclusive beverage package but have only gotten it while sailing on Celebrity.

Don't get me wrong, I also like sailing on Princess, but their prices during the sip and sail promo are outrageous. I've always felt as though I could do better by buying the beverage package outright than paying the jacked up prices just to have my drinks included.

Has anyone had a different experience on this?? Maybe it is just the cruises I am looking at. I have gotten some great deals on Celebrity that already include the beverage package. :confused:

We booked last year under the Sip&Sail promo for our British Isles cruise this past May. It worked out great for us, prices only went up after the promo ended as that cruise was selling very well. Keep an eye on the prices, you can always change to a lower price or different promotion (at least up to final payment) if it makes financial sense to do so. You don't really lose anything to book and see what happens to the prices, but do remember that you will lose any perks if you rebook for a lower fare.

Glad to hear it worked well for you, did the bars a lot seem busier how was MTD drink service? Did many people mentioned that they had gotten the free package? We have enjoyed the package in the past, just hopping this promo won't make it to difficult to get drinks.

From what I can see, last year's promo wasn't "for new bookings only". Do you know if that will be the case this year?

I was very excited for a moment...until I saw that I would have to book a balcony. I'm already paying for two as I'm sailing solo for 10 nights in Australia. I'm afraid I'm stuck in my interior stateroom, without free booze.

Maybe your cruise won't be on the list, last promo not all sailings were.

I think the $100 deposit pp is what is getting me to book one or 2 more than I should.

I have ... and sailed with them twice in the last 6 months. I also have 3 more sailings booked with them. All were great deals with loads of perks....maybe just the itineraries I booked.

I am not sure just how this worked out so well for us but we did a TA on the Royal last year and got fantastic prices as it was a "repositioning " cruise. It was also a SiP & Sail promotion. I know our price, for a balcony was less than $100 a day apiece. We drank away all those sea days by going through the extensive menu at Bellini's :-)

We are taking our 2 adult children with us and are planning on sharing a suite. Does anyone know if I can give the package to one of them instead? Or can I upgrade the soda and more package that comes with passengers 3 & 4 to the drink package?

Yes, I like the fact that Princess will offer Sip n Sail on TAs. Celebrity won't offer the free beverage package on TAs. Nice to take advantage of it on all those sea days!

I can only imagine how hard it would be to get a drink, especially in the MDR!

It does say ALL summer 2017-Spring 2018... so our Alaska May 2017 is included.

Looks like they are offering $150 OBC if you don't want to take the package.

We already booked 2 balconies using our FCC, any idea if that can be applied to the $100 deposit and still be refundable so we can continue watching sales as the cruise approaches?

Our cruise is the last week in May and goes into June (bridges Memorial Day Weekend) so maybe that is summer? We will find out! The price of our cruise just went up about $150 so i assume this is in preparation to put it on "sale"

Yes, the cruise must be booked 6/21/16-7/31-16 to get the package. You must book in the first 2 weeks to get the mini-suite dining perk.

I don't think the majority of our fellow cruisers had the promo -- after all, you had to book by the end of August for our cruise the following May. We did however happen upon some who had it, and I don't think our service was any slower because servers said their tips were still credited to them for every drink they served us. As a matter of fact, sometimes the service was too good, our server would bring us another before we were done with the first! We were given no slips to sign in the lounges (we did sign in the MDRs, strangely), and we saw lots of people signing around us so we figured they didn't have the promo or buy the drink package. The only time it was hard to get served was right before dinner, but that was mostly because of the crowds in the lounges.

Yes the waitstaff must be thrilled with this free drink offer! ;) It just seems like getting a bucket of beer on Lido or a drink in the MDR would be difficult at best...

But we're sailing next January for a cruise we already booked and we don't meet either of the requirements...:(

The $150 OBC is interesting as that implies Princess values the drink package at $150 for a seven day cruise rather than the cost they charge.

Not all that interested. I booked earlier and already have $150 OBC PP under that booking. The only thing I would get is another prepaid dining voucher.

Just switch guests 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 if your all staying in the same room so the appropriate guests have the drink package
