Just wondering if on the Silhoutte you have to check out the towels anthen be charged if not turned in like on RCL ships.

You do not need to check out towels at the pool.

Beach towels will be provided in your cabin by your cabin steward. They are different from the pool towels, larger and a different color. When you come back from ashore, drop them on the floor in your bathroom and they will be replaced with clean ones. They must be left in the cabin when you depart or you will be charged for them. Celebrity sells them in the gift shop. They are quite nice.

Radio - Thanks for teh pics of St. Thomas. When we were there in January, there were 7 ships docked the same day including the Oasis so we took a ferry to St. John's instead of fighting the crowds. I really feel like we missed something and now I really want to go back!!!! Have fun in St. Kitts! We did explore all over there and had a great time! Ahhh, I'm so living vicariously through you!

I usually do not jump on your site there are so many others--but just have to this time-you are great and make us want to be there-we were on Adventure in February and of course went to St Thomas and loved St Kitts-did the rail and sail there ---a must

We are booked for Brilliance next February but really think we will jump ship to X after that-we are 60 yrs young and it sounds like a good fit-anyone have any suggestions for me--Thank you again so much

Radio, Your pictures are wonderful!!! I loved St. Kitts - I thought it was a beautiful island and would like to return there one day!

We have not been to St. Lucia so looking forward to some photos from there as well.

We were lucky enough to be eating dinner at the lawn grill when the concert was going on so we got to see while we ate.

Thanks again for all the wonderful photos and reviews.

In some other thread there were remarks that people shouldn't comment so much on reviews. It apparently makes the review tedious to read and wastes the reviewers time

Any opinions on this?

I myself am ready to face the wrath of all who agree with above and comment :D

I've only sailed with RCCL and am finding Celebrity very interesting. So thank you very much for this review, Radio. It is very eye-opening. In a good way!

On another website Im a member of another user came up with a plugin for the browser that would only display the OPs OP and subsequent posts in a thread. I haven't tried it but imagine it would cut the s:n ratio down. It does get tedious reading through a thread where the OP has each post quoted a few times, especially the people that will quote every image without need.

I tried to suggest this & someone else even gave tips on how to cut things down--to no avail! maybe this will spark a better reaction.;)

The thread is great but I have refrained from further comments b/c it is getting so crowded.... We are counting down --we are the next ones out on Silho!!!

I always just add the last post to my favorites on the web brouser and so I am returned to where I left off every time. It helps:o I for one would love to just let him finish and then start comments, but Radio said he loves the feedback, so......

Hello everyone. . . We left Basseterre, St. Kitts right at 5PM as scheduled. Adventure of the Seas, and Silhouette had kind of a “Horn Symphony” as we left the pier. Each Captain thought that they deserved to have the last sound of the horn. . . It was comical. . .All the passengers loved it.

I got off of the ship today at about 10AM. . .It seems that I was not feeling very well this morning, and almost just hung out on the ship. . .

What does this mean ? Well, it simply means that today was a Radio Non-Beach day, and as much as I would have enjoyed it. . .well, it just wasn’t meant to be. There were several plans that I had that were “penciled” in. . .

The first was the St Kitts Railway, and the 2nd was the Marriott Resort.

Instead of doing those exciting things. . .I hung around the Port area, and did some shopping, gambling, had a nice lunch, and explored the city.

There is something good about all of this. . .well 2 things. The most important thing is that I was able to find some Starbuck VIA ! Not in a supermarket, coffee house or convenience store. . .but at a Cyber Café of all places. . . The second good thing about this little “interruption” in plans is that I made it back to the ship extremely early and took a long nap. . .Ooops, I mean I watched the “News” for 4 hours. . .

The locals of St Kitts appear to be very hard working, and friendly. Some of the vendors may be considered as “Friendly Aggressive” Let me explain. As you walk along and through Port Zante (Port Authority Duty Free Shops) you will come across 100’s of vendors. . .It goes something like this. . .” Hey, I would love to take you on a tour around the whole island today for only $20 US, and it will be from the comfort of an air-conditioned taxi, so lets go. .. I am located right over here. .. And don’t worry, you will pay me when we return” No thanks, I want to do some shopping. “ Well I hope your shopping goes well, and I hope you fall in love with the Island of St Kitts” I must of heard this over 100 times today. . . I really love their spirit.

I walked around and happened to fall into a very nice Casino. . .The Ma Pau Casino was very “Radio Friendly”, and I went to the Sweet Lime restaurant up stairs and enjoyed the “best” Jerk Chicken Skewers. . . Oh yeah, and there was free Wi-Fi for all customers there as well. . .I was happy I went there.

I walked around part of the historic area, and through some of the local city streets. I felt really safe throughout, and really just kind of look around on my own. The “Ram“ Supermarket really didn’t seem to understand about Starbucks. . .”Do you have any Starbucks ?”. . .What. . .what. . .what is that? “Do you sell Starbucks Coffee?” Yes we sell Coffee. . .right here. “No that is not Starbucks. . Do you have the Starbucks Brand?” Oh yes we have many brands. . . OK, thanks anyway. . .

Here are a few pics from today’s excitement, and I am waiting for a call from Peter Greenburg, the Travel Channel, or Condé Nast International for an interview. . .(No worries . . .JK)

Thanks for tuning in !

Thanks for the nice comments Tenn4ever. On Celebrity, you will see many Tuxes, and Suits. There is alot of more elegant dresswear with Celebrity on Formal nights, than with RCI. . .
