The Superior Grand Suite on the Quantum - something that has been yet to be described. As I sit here, how can I describe it to those (like me) that would love to know the layout? I've added over 50 pictures to this album.

As I sit here waiting to be called for muster, here's my best shot:
1. The layout is very different that Grand Suites on other ships. It also different that an Owner's Suite on the Explorer (which is almost what I was thinking).
2. When you walk in the door, it feels very deep because you can't see what's behind the wall separating the living area from the bedroom area, and you see the huge balcony with the porthole on the side.
3. It is a true wrap around in that you have the full width of the cabin and the full side. Although there is this weird partition that you need to open/step through to get to the side part.
4. There are two loungers and a dining table with two chairs on the "main" balcony. There is a small table on the "side" balcony.
5. I love the two entrances to the bathroom. I went in the one by the living room, exited the one by the bedroom, and my DH asked, "how did you get over there?"
6. The bathroom is huge - love how the double sinks are separated.
7. The bedroom is really comfortable with floor to ceiling windows.
8. The living area is quaint and comfortable.
9. Plenty of storage; two closets, lots of drawer space, two TVs.
10. USB and regular outlets.
11. Desk area, bar area, vanity and two nightstands.
12. Love the colors, decor and furnishings; there's even a living plant!
13. There is a curtain that can separate the bedroom from the living area (seems more private than other Grand Suites we've been in).
14. Lots of light; although the windows could have been configured a little different (like a Grand Suite on Vision Class, which is still my favorite).

Let me know if you have any questions; it is a pleasant change from Grand Suites on other ships.

Joanna

Hi Joanna

Would appreciate it if you could verify that the grand suite is the same as the superior grand suite with the exception of the balcony?

Thanks

Curious about any free gifts or mementos of the sailing you might receive.

Enjoy and a huge thank you for your time in doing this!!

Good point...it will be great to be able to compare to the Inaugural!

Thanks for keeping us in awe! Can hardly wait for our 11/18/14 3 day cruise.

Do you know if they allowed passengers to bring bottles of wine onboard?

Have a good time and enjoy the cruise and the ship.

RCI's policy is 2 750ml bottles of wine per stateroom, per voyage. Should not be any different in this case.

question what is up with the room key holder near the door? maybe I'm just so used to old ships but what is the purpose of that. and what do the little wrist bracelets work for. is your drink package also loaded on the bracelets?

I think it has to do with saving electricity. You need to put a card in there in order to turn lights on in the room.

Can someone please post the link to the spreadsheet with questions & answers? I can't find it. Also, would really love if someone could post pictures of a deck 7 obstructed balcony cabin & balcony, so we can see what the obstruction is. We'll be in 7114 in 69 days!

Thanks so much for all you're doing! You DESERVE those free drinks you're getting. Have 1 for me!

well then i would need a wrist band because id keep forgetting that it was in there . i guess if you can use the wrist bands to get into your room and purchase things on the ship people may just leave their cards in the little slots

Hi guys, thanks so much for taking the time out to keep us updated. A lot of excited people are very grateful!! Could you tell me if there is a cigar bar on board or is smoking limited to the usual outdoor and casino areas only? Thanks and I hope you all have a wonderful crossing!
