Radio, I loved your picture of the iguana!!!!!!

Years ago, wasn't Paradise Point called Mountain Top and they served fantastic banana daiquiris??

Did you find Coki Beach safe? Someone posted last year that Coki wasn't safe anymore.

Enjoy tomorrow!!!!

We were at Coki Beach and Coral World last month. It is very beautiful and it was very safe. I think and Radio can verify but Paradise Point and Mountain Top are two different locations. We were at Mountain Top last month and yes it is there where the banana daiquiris are and they are very tasty.

Hey Radio was the Oasis there today on the other pier? I think she was due there today. Your reviews are always the best. Have an enjoyable remainder of cruise. Looking forward to your day in St. Kitts. We will be there for the first time next year on the Adventure of the Seas.

Thanks for the clarification and information! I'll be in St. Thomas in March and I think my grandchildren 3 & 5 might enjoy Coral World. When I was in St. Thomas last year Megan's Bay was so crowded and I think Coki Beach might be a little less crowded, but very pretty.

Radio, what are the glass windows across the back of Quantum? Some type restaurant?

If you mean the prominent windows at the aft end of decks 5 and 6,

that's the Two70 multi-use venue....although there is a cafeteria in the forward section of it....by day a spectacular view lounge area, and at night, an entertainment venue...

The windows up above the aft cabins are the Concierge Club on deck 12, and the Conference Center on deck 13....

The aft cabins on decks 8&9 and 10&11 are the various loft suites...

The outdoor section of the Windjammer is on deck 14, and above that is the sports complex...

Beautiful pics, Mark. Thank you.

It's fun to see that Coral World and the gondolas haven't changed much in all these years. We got to go on them many years ago on the Mariner.

Do you have a picture of the whole pier from Paradise Point? You know, the famous view of all three ships? Just like the gondola picture, without the gondola blocking the ships? That would be beautiful of Q sitting down there.

Have a safe trip.

Radio great shot showing that overhang. Having been in 13620 I noted in my review that there are two problems with the cabins on that level. First may actually not be a problem for some, no sun, overhang is just huge extending three times your balcony width out. Second problem if you like to sleep past 6 am. That overhang is actually an extended deck above you where the pool chairs etc are. At 6 am or so ( 3 am once ) they start slamming ( slamming is not an exaggeration sound wise anyway ) the deck chairs around to clean or put out or whatever. There is NO insulation just metal deck. During day anything that rolls, runs, or falls up there resounds loudly. If you like to sleep in or like to lay in sun on your own balcony this is not the deck for you.

You should also note than there is really no privacy on balconies on this ship by the design.

Radio,

Thanks so much for the pictures of Coki Beach and Coral World. We're stopping at St. Thomas for the first time in June and are trying to plan our day. We've heard good things about Coki (and also a few bad things) but not many pictures. A Coki Beach/Coral World combo looks like it might work perfectly!

Thanks for doing a "Live" review, greatly appreciated. I am wondering if you have any idea of the price to play bingo? Thanks

Hello fellow Haligonian :) (I live in Toronto now) I noticed you boarded a ship in Halifax - how were you able to do that?

Thank you for pics of Coral World and Paradise Point. These are two of my favorite places also.

Radio, I admire you for being able to drive in St. Thomas. If I remember correctly, you drive on the left and the driver's side of the vehicle is also on the left. The traffic can be really bad and lots of very windy roads.

Good morning and Welcome to DAY 6 of “LIVE” from Quantum of the Seas.

We have arrived early this morning to Basseterre, St Kitts. I was happy to see and old friend of mine docked at the pier (MeinSchiff1) I sailed Celebrity Galaxy several times during her life with Celebrity Cruises. She was built in 1996 by the same shipyard that built Quantum of the Seas (Meyer Werft)

I have no plans for today. . .I have been feeling a little under the weather, but I will go ashore and see what I can see. I think there may be a Casino or 3 here at Port Zante, and there may be a few shops. Here are a few pics from our arrival this morning.

Thanks for tuning in . . .

I am enjoying your posts a great deal---always do;)

It was great seeing the former Galaxy, I cruised on that ship several times.

If you ever get a chance while in port, can you take a picture toward the front of the ship port side. We have a balcony on the 8th floor and I just have never seen any pictures toward that area.

Thank you.

Coki Beach and Coral World combo day is great!!! You can print out a coupon on the website before you go to get a few dollars off the entrance fee. We took our grandson there May 2014 and he loved every minute of it. Actually so did we. The wildlife is awesome and very visible. He got a kick out of all the lizards or iguanas not sure which, but they are alllll over the place. A few even joined us for lunch :D There was a nice little food area reasonably priced too. Then off to the beach. I LOVE clear water and it was beautiful:) Very nice day.

Radio

Since you have not responded about getting into a Restaurant without reservations ( and being seated at a large table with others) that they are not providing a work around. Many prefer a set time and don’t want to have to think where they want to eat every night. Is RCCL not going to come up with a way its past guest will be able to go to the free restaurants without reservations on the new Ships? I was hoping for your unbiased view of the DD changes.

I have never seen photos of Coki beach. I have heard of it and am so glad you posted photos of it. I rarely go to that side of the island, but your photos have made me want to go!

I am gonna Chime in here about Coki Beach. WE were there 2 years ago and i will return everytime. The sand is so soft, the water so clear. The animal life all over the rocks. They sell dog biscuits for you to feed the fish in the water. And do i mean beautiful big and small fish. we just walked into the water and could see them at our feet. so Clear of water. best place to snorkel too. all you really need if you cannot snorkel is the mask. just float around and see all them beautiful fish come up to you when you feed them. We took fish food from home in a waterproof container that worked well. If you have a water camera you can get many good pictures underwater. It was a very quiet and safe place to go. we loved it and will go back.It is a breath taking beach. Everyone should go at least once.
