wenocancer2 Posted August 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2016 I was just reading the awesome post about cruising tips and read a section of Things You Need to Know and it listed "You need to ask for a top sheet if you want one". WHAT??? Is this something new? I've cruised before and I don't ever remember not having a top sheet. And I'm pretty sure I would remember that! erinmarie424 Posted August 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2016 Eight Carnival cruises and I've always had a top sheet. Didn't have one on my Hurtigruten cruise in Norway (just a duvet,) but they also don't have them in their homes there.

crusinpsychRN Posted August 23, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2016 Someone also said to use the plastic laundry bag. They're paper. Never had to ask for a top sheet.
ScottsSweetie Posted August 23, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2016 This is really odd. I've never seen this question, ever - and now there are two threads started with the same question with 1/2 hour of each other. And I've never sailed on a ship without the top sheet. That is all I use.
Rare jimbo5544 Posted August 23, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2016 Don't believe everything you read. Of course you get a top sheet.

OCruisers Posted August 23, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 23, 2016 It's Princess that uses the duvets and you need to ask for a top sheet if you want one. ;)

OCruisers Posted August 23, 2016 #10 Share Posted August 23, 2016 Actually, Princess does change the duvets. Even on a B2B, ours was changed between sailings. :)
maldenmusic Posted August 23, 2016 #11 Share Posted August 23, 2016 WE had one last month.
isaiahsnana Posted August 23, 2016 #12 Share Posted August 23, 2016 The top sheet is seriously tucked in and you have to really pull to get it out from under the mattress to slide yourself in - so some may not have bothered and don't realize it is even there. MtnDweller Posted August 23, 2016 #13 Share Posted August 23, 2016 You get a top sheet...............and a blanket. :D
jakeT Posted August 24, 2016 #14 Share Posted August 24, 2016 I think they change the blanket between cruise. I remembered going back to cabin after breakfast on the last day of the cruise. And all the bedding was stripped off and taken away
bakersdozen12 Posted August 24, 2016 #15 Share Posted August 24, 2016 Oh good grief, now John Heald is going to make a social media post to defend the fact that they are not eliminating top sheets as a cost-cutting tactic. I mean how many people do they think are sleeping in my bed when I'm cruising by myself?! [emoji15] OK, none of you smartypants need to answer that! On our last Seabourn cruise we had to request a top sheet. A number of their staff come from the other side of the pond.
