Craziest/strangest/funniest thing you have seen a passenger do on a cruise ship?

Anyone ever seen the movie Dirty Dancing where the old couple (the Schumachers) walk around all hunched over hanging on each other, and she steals stuff and puts it in her little granny purse? Well I think the Schumachers were on our last cruise. The woman always had a little dress on, like what Grandma would wear to church, and the guy had seriously ugly Hawaiian shirts. We would always see them trolling around the buffet, wrapping food up in napkins and stuffing them into her purse. Didn't they know that they could just come back and get a cookie later???

In January 2016 I friend and I were on the Splendor in the casino very late, about 4 AM, playing slots and a guy walked by totally naked. We went to guest services to report it and the rep thought we were drunk, until he came walking up asking where his cabin was. Security showed up to escort him to his cabin and the funniest part was they headed upstairs in the atrium GLASS elevators

:D LOL I am glad I found this thread LOL

I was on a Princess cruise in Nov. 2015 walking thru the Lido deck during breakfast. The doors open from the pool area..and man in his late 60"s 'early 70's walks in holding his laundry bag. His clothes were wrinkled... he was unshaven...looked like had been living under a freeway overpass for years. He walks up to the pastry bar..and starts filling his laundry bag with various pastries. Every crew member and passenger was staring in disbelief.. as he put the bag over his shoulder & walked out with 40-50 pastries. Never saw him again for the rest of the cruise.

Waiting for the dining room to open on the first night, and there's a gorgeous woman in front of my fiance and I. She basically looked like a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, in a low-cut dress that showed everything off, if you get my drift. Fiance pokes me and makes a funny comment, something along the lines of "gee whiz, ain't she pretty?", just to tease me.

The next day, we're at the Lido deck bar, drinking and people-watching. The woman from the night before walks past, now in the tiniest yellow string bikini I've ever seen. Fiance says "hey, isn't that the hot girl from last night? Somehow, she looks even better!" I laugh and punch him in the arm. The guy at the next table laughs and tells us that Bikini Girl is actually his companion for the cruise. He won a trip for two through his work, and didn't have a significant other. So, he posted on social media that he needed a +1, all expenses paid, but you have to...let's say behave like a spouse at night. She was the first to respond. He was a really fun guy, and his companion was super sweet. We ended up hanging out with them most of the week. My fiance even friended him on social media.

At our dining room table was a couple from Alabama. Every night the husband would unscrew the cap of the pepper shaker and empty about half of it onto his meal. I don't know how he tasted his food with all that pepper.

On private island. Limbo contest. One man's jewels came dangling out of his swim trunks 'EVERY' time he went under the bar. Ugh, I should've said something but I knew I would laugh and cause him embarrassment!

We met a few other couples on a cruise and one set of 2 coworkers from Australia. One night at dinner the one friend YELLS "SUSIE GOT ****ED" at the table and pretty sure everyone around us heard her. We are now friends with all the couples we met, but never stayed in contact with the coworkers. We still joke to this day about it.

A man on our vista cruise a couple weeks ago was drunk as a skunk and face planted directly into the sign as you walk on to the pier in Ocho Rios.

Formal night

Fellow comes in in his tux

Sits

Orders

Face plants in his soup

With great dignity, stands and walks out.

Got the impression it wasn't the first time it had happened to him.

This one is not funny, but sad and scary.: On the Splendor (lost engine power cruise) earlier this month, they were having a 2 for $20 t shirt sale near the Lido pool. A lady in a large scooter tries to get into Lido or to buy t shirts, not sure what she was trying to do. But suddenly she is knocked out of her scooter & the husband of the scooter driver starts yelling that another lady actually pushed her out of the scooter to get to the t shirts 1st. At any rate the scooter lady was laying on the deck crying about her neck & about just having had neck surgery. The was a bunch of yelling going on & I got out of there as quickly as possible. I have no idea of whether someone actually pushed her or not, but I think the scooter lady should not have been in that crowd anyway. Tempers were flaring all around the ship that cruise because of the engine issues.

I never wish to see anything like that again on land or at sea.

My daughter and I went on a RCCL cruise during Spring Break of her freshman year in college. The first day we ran into a former student of mine and his friend. It was great seeing my former student who had been both the biggest class clown that you could only love and a top notch student in high school Both of these boys were in the Naval Academy and doing very well. We spoke a little and he introduced us to his friend, a very handsome and charming young man. The next few days my former student's friend ran into my daughter a number of times and it was becoming apparent that he was interested in her (or interested in snagging his friend's former teacher's daughter). She was flattered, but was fully aware of being wary of the way too handsome and way too charming type... lol

The last night my daughter and I were in a lounge for a karaoke contest. This young man, who had obviously had a few drinks in him asked my daughter to do a karaoke duet with him. She agreed. He then requested the song, "Mustang Sally." My daughter's name is Sally. The duet starts. The duet started off in a normal way and then this young man started with the gymnastics. He was doing back flips and all over the place; very athletic and very talented. It was the most fantastic display of flirting that I have ever witnessed. My daughter, who is a little reserved, just keep trying to sing the song while completely surprised by this boy's antics. As much as he tried, he couldn't win her over. But he did give her one of the very best cruise memories she will ever have. Now my daughter's boyfriend and now husband, who was not on the cruise, did not enjoy the story. lol

Mentioned a few times and it made me laugh every time someone else said it: bathrobes. My husband and i have a contest every cruise for who can spot the most bathrobes on the cruise. He usually wins. Last cruise I was ahead by 1 on the last day and I was sure I had it. Then LAST DAY, he spotted 2. Not even together. We cruise in a few weeks. We;ll be spotting again.

Too bad you weren't on our bahamas cruise a month ago. Everyone was wearing their bathrobe so they wouldn't freeze getting out of the pool or hot tub.

Everyone has a reason for wearing their robe. While I normally wouldn't wear one out and about on the ship, its not nice to make fun of those who do.

A few years ago we were on a cruise and saw a large group wearing brightly colored matching T-shirts that said " Sally's ( not the real name) dream cruise" on embarkation day. The next mid morning we ran into some of the group in the elevator wearing another color of matching shirts with the same saying on them. They asked if we would like to meet Sally as it would be our last chance as they were heading down to toss her off the back of the ship. I guess we gave them a strange look and they held up a box with what we assume was Sally's ashes. We were very happy when we arrived at our deck and could let the mourners continue on their mission. The group had very colorful shirts for the entire cruise and seemed to be celebrating Sally's dream cruise to the fullest.

Here's a link to an oldie but a goodie from a few years ago from You Tube.

I remember watching that video quite some time ago when I needed to feed my cruise addiction by visiting youtube. I thought thats alota tinkle under her chair. But if you pee on yourself, I would think that you would have consumed alot to create all that tinkle!

In the water at a beach in San Juan my 12 year old son called me over, being careful not to alert his mom that he wanted to talk to me. He whispers to me to look over and I see a very pretty young lady with her boob out of her bikini. The waves had dislodged it and she was completely oblivious as she was jumping around with her friends. Somehow her friends hadn't noticed either. My 14 year old then noticed. I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to embarrass the girl in front of her friends so we just pretended not to see. But it wasn't easy looking away. :D
