Everything.. Norwegian BLISS! - launch April 2018 -

Recommended Posts

Hello all. I have been following this post for a couple weeks now, playing catch up reading from the beginning. Thanks for starting this page. It’s awesome. I have not watched a new ship being built like this before.

We are a family of 6 booked on the Dec. 01 2019 Southern Caribbean cruise from New York in an H4 suite. (I know it’s a long time to wait but we loved this itinerary).

I have a question for those who have sailed on brand new ships before: When looking at my NCL vacation summary and it shows me the arrival times to port, how likely is it that those times will change in the next 22 months? It shows an arrival of 4:00 pm in San Juan and am curious if they will eventually change to an earlier arrival.

Cheers.

CruiseLifeMatt with the Bliss Go-Kart simulators @ NY Times Travel Show...

In Germany they invited TAs to kart tracks and had a real race. The winner got a "ticket" for the 2 night pre inaugural in April (Bremerhaven - Southampton). They had this in several cities all over Germany.

The Bliss studio lounge and cabins look a good bit more "upscale" than the other NCL mega ships... The photos so far are only computer renderings, but we'll hopefully be getting some real pictures soon!

I'm hoping it's a double bed and not a single!

But a bed is a bed I guess...

Very true, but the photos and renderings for the Bliss look like a single bed. Fingers crossed :D

I just looked at the Bliss studio rendering online and it looks the same as Escape did. It will be a full size bed.

Look at pictures of interior room when beds are separate- only 1 pillow- single bed. Pictures of studio in all breakaway and b+ classes have 2 pillows- full size bed.

Actually, if you look closely at the renderings, there is more room between the bed and the wardrobe / cabinets... Both cabins are described as 99 square feet, thus leading me to believe the bed is a bit smaller than the ones on the away class ships. Not half the size, but around 2/3 the size. I guess we won't really know until actual photos are posted...

This popped up on my YouTube feed tonight and didn't see it posted yet. Something else on the 'must try' list.

I believe that is the video that they released when the Dawn went into dry-dock and got Los Lobos Cantina. For the Moderno replacement on the Bliss, it appears NCL is dropping the “cantina”, presumably in an attempt to offer a more upscale version.

Here’s the Cantina’s tequila menu. The special Patron barrel select by NCL is $21.95...

I’m wondering if the A-List bar will house all of these, if Los Lobos doesn’t have it’s own bar.
