Just for fun, what is the single worst thing you have seen a carnival cruiser doing?

Recommended Posts

The lady I saw with a "service dog" which was a cute little fluffy thing and she was hand feeding it at the buffet....with her fingers. I won't get into the "was it or wasn't it" a service dog but the idea of the dog licking the food off her fingers and then her putting them back into the food......ewww.

On Imagination last month my gf saw someone stealing a stack of photos. She just slipped in her purse and walked right into the casino. My gf tried to notify the workers, but she was GONE. We spent like 60-70 bucks on pictures so we were in shock to see someone just take them.

I'm surprised it didn't set off any alarms. I thought the pictures had little stickers on the back that the cashiers have to disable when you buy them.

First Carnival cruise on the Dream - almost 6 years ago.....saw a woman changing a baby (not a clean diaper situation) on one of the tables outside by the pool - I walked back to my room and said to my husband - that this was our last cruise on carnival - then realized this was the bad judgement/lack of consideration of one person - a few years later we tried carnival again - had a great time - and have been ever since

Did you at least tell a staff member so they could clean the table?

They did not set the alarm off? Carnival had put alarms on all their pictures to prevent this.

Both of mine happened in the food area on the Lido deck.

The first one was this older couple. They had apparently just come out of the pool or hot tub. Soaking and dripping wet...no towel...walks up to the buffet line to fix plates and eat off of the plates while standing in line...while dripping wet.

Ewwwww...grab and towel first...geesh

The second was just last Thanksgiving on the Magic. A kid, just like the one CWhitlock saw, put his mouth under the ice cream dispenser while his buddy pulled the lever. I told one of the workers behind the buffet bar and he came over to take care of it

There is no easy way to say this… but on all American cruise lines... the amount of huge overweight people…

If you are too fat to walk, you do not have a disability,,, you are just fat…

I met people complaining the toilets are too small… no,toilets are normal, you are just huge….

But, in this day and age, being overweight is normal, and everything else..... well, you need help, not them…

This might sound bad to some, and I'm sorry, but...

The amount of obese people on the ship, which I'm really trying not to judge, as I don't know what got them into that state...

However, when I see most of these people in the buffet with two trays each fully stacked with food and desserts, it's hard not to judge.... :o

I seriously doubt that people who feed the fish "People Food" care if it's good for the fish or not.

It's their vacation and they'll do what they want.

They don't stop to think that it not only attracts the cute, little fish, but also the larger, more aggressive fish such as barracuda. There a couple videos on YouTube of people getting attacked at HMC or Grand Turk (or maybe both I can't remember). In one of them it appeared the guy threw a hot dog or something in right as the video started and he got bit very badly. Feeding the fish especially at the beach where people swim is bad.

Reading this whole thread makes me never want to cruise or go anywhere ever again. I have seen nasty things on both my cruises, a couple of kids grabbing fries from the buffet with their hands, taking bites of them and putting them back into the buffet - I guess they thought this was a hilarious stunt, I also saw kids putting their mouths on the ice cream dispenser nozzle to fill their mouth, (this was mostly late at night) and in both instances I told an employee and both times the carnival employee seemed apathetic. I told myself it was just an isolated incident and not to get too bent out of shape but reading all these stories kind of makes me feel like maybe these bad behaviors are not so isolated.

Kind of makes me feel ill. Pee on the deck? Pee in the hot tubs? Grubby hands in the food? Toe picking in the Lido? Yuck.

I don't think I will read any more of these stories. Will try to purge them all from my brain when I am on my next cruise but for real, why do so many have to be so disgusting???

I wonder has it always been like this or has our society digressed in the extreme. I just can't imagine in my grandmothers day any girl would pull down her bathing suit and pee on the deck or some of these other things.

I took a Thanksgiving cruise a few years ago and had YTD. One of the nights there was a large family of 10 or so and they had been arguing the whole meal. It sounded like they had made plans in port and someone forgot to tell one of the family members that the plans had changed. I don't remember what the woman was saying but I know she was being loudly upset and passive aggressive about it and her husband was screaming at her the whole time to shut up but it escalated so quickly when he started waving his dinner knife at her telling her to just kill herself and told her he would help her jump off the ship. The children were crying and eventually the woman got up and left and the rest of the family ate in silence for the remainder of the meal.

That sounds familiar. What ship and ports were the cruise?

I'm sure that's true of a lot of people. But some people honestly don't know. It can't hurt to try to educate. :)

I didn't know that feeding bread to ducks was bad for them either. I'm glad someone told me.

Reading all these have 1 common thread. ... some people have NO common sense and respect for others, think they are entitled to everything and it's ok to act like a douch nozzle!! And with my job as a cable tech for 20 years I get to see these people in their natural environment ( their house) and I could make you throw up in your mouth with stuff I've seen. And I've only been on a few cruises but the only thing that had bothered me was on the freedom and me and my wife were relaxing on the serenity deck. And some guy starts smoking in a non smoking area. I told him to go to a smoking area. And after a few extra words he left. I feel if you don't speak up or stand up to these self indulgent retards and put them in their place, kindly explain the world doesn't revolve around them they will do it again. Plus you'll feel better and everyone else will think of you as a superhero [emoji41]

The peeing on the deck was still my worst but our first cruise was a belated honeymoon and welcome back from deployment trip. I wore ball gowns and he wore his formal military uniform. We hadn't planned on buying any photos but there were several really good pictures so after checking our finances we went back to buy them. Somebody had already bought all of our pictures!! Not the nice way as in for us but they took our pictures home. These were shots of just the 2 of us and there was no reason for anyone else to take them. We were bummed to lose the photos and totally weirded out on who and why there were taken.

Honestly, don't be weirded out..they probably thought he was the captain...The hubs and I went on the Ecstasy in November as his redeployment after being gone a year (without the kids yay) and I can't tell you how many people were calling out 'hello Captain' and we were at dinner and the people next to us thought they were eating with the captain...I was rolling laughing every time we tried to say no....

When Bob wore his Firefighter dress uniform, a lot of the crew thought he was a Captain too (not their Captain obviously, but one nonetheless). They would ask him no matter where we were - at the Martini Bar, or even just walking down the hall. This was on our Celebrity cruises. He didn't wear it on Carnival.
