Just for fun, what is the single worst thing you have seen a carnival cruiser doing?

Recommended Posts

Screaming toddler in the MDR which went on for a long while, Carnival did not intervene and eventually a guest said something to the parents. This did not go well and it seemed like a fight might erupt until Carnival then stepped in and calmed the situation down. They were right back the next night though and the toddler was at it again, nothing was done the 2nd night.

Hmm...I'm curious as to when this occurred because we experienced the exact same thing on the April 30th sailing of Fascination. Super annoying....

This was on the Dream a few years back. We headed out to the hot tub about mid-morning, wanting to beat the crowd. Put our stuff down, went to get in...and saw this clown scrubbing his nasty feet with a pumice stone in the freaking hot tub.

Haven't been in one since.

On the tender to HMC a few years ago, a young man decided it would be ok to freestyle rap. His family encouraged him on and he filmed himself with an iPad. Every other word was the "N" word, the "F" word or some other profanity.

It was one of those surreal moments when your mind cannot really comprehend what is happening. If my wife and daughter had been there I might have thrown this punk over the side. Then CC would be writing about me in this thread [emoji12][emoji924]

Smoking at the railing on embarkation with no ash tray in sight. I asked him where he was putting his ashes and he said "over the side". !! I explained to him how dangerous that was. "Oh, I didn't know."

Saw a small child at the railing nearly go through to the ocean. Mom wasn't paying any attention. Scared the heck out of me.

First cruise after they moved smoking to the upper lido deck, I walked up for the first time and there were two guys standing at the railing smoking - I didn't realize that the sitting area a bit down was the actual smoking area - and I asked them where the ashtrays were. One of them points over the railing and says "Right there - it's called the ocean!" Idiot.

We were on a 5 day cruise with our best friends (4 total people) and we were sat at a 10 top. We met 2 other couples at the table and there were 2 empty spaces between us and the other 2 couples (1 "couple" wasnt showing up). So on the 3rd night of the cruise some random guy was escorted to the table and took the seat next to my boyfriend who was seated across from me. Well...... he was just plain weird. We couldnt tell if he was drunk, on drugs or what. We were really nice to him (at first) by having him join in our conversations etc. He started talking about really weird things (marijuana in colorado where he is from) and just being ODD. We started to get a weird vibe from him, so I started talking to my best friend and my boyfriend was talking to her husband and the strange guy shouted at us that he guesses we don't want to talk to him and all this crazy stuff. He started holding his steak knife and basically asking the waiter to hurry up and bring his food because he didn't want to be there. It got to the point where my boyfriend basically told him to shut up or leave the table before something bad happened (my boyfriend was fearing for his and our safety because this guy was obviously on something). The guy gobbled his steak up and left the table. The waiter asked us if we were ok and said he would make sure the guy was not back at the table the next night.

I really forget most of the conversation at this point because it has been since last year, but I remember it being crazy AND scary!!

If it isn't obvious, the last thing you want to do when someone appears odd and wields a steak knife at a dinner table, is to be, in any way that the nut might perceive as confrontational - if someone is holding a knife in any unusual posture while also appearing confrontational, yet not immediately endangering someone's life, be smart. To confront someone like this is not macho or protective, it's a dangerous mistake AT BEST. Someone should have immediately stated the facts to management so that people trained to handle situations like that would intercede. If, on the other hand, the person appeared to be about to inflict harm, confrontation might be the heroic move.

On top deck one night, it was dark w/no lights, walked around the super structure and sitting on the railing leaning against the slanted wall was a beautiful young woman in her formal dress moaning. Just then did my wife and I see a young man kneeling in front of her between her legs.

We kept walking like we didn't notice, he jumped up and they both hightailed it the other directions

I told my wife I wanted what he was having...I got smacked in the back of the head!

Smacked in the head?? You'd think she would be happy at the prospect.

We had a group sit beside us for anytime dining last night in the Glory. Two of them were wearing shirts that came down to just heir belly button. But wait.... it gets better! One of the shirts said "FANCY AS FU(K".

I'm not sure if the bad pet is that someone didn't have enough decency not to wear that, or that the dining room staff allowed it!!!

Staff may have thought that was a person's name. Pretty sure I had a steward named Phuck before.

On one cruise while waiting in the terminal to board, there was a woman around 60 years old making a fuss wanting to board. She was not priority and did not have faster to the fun. Priority boarded, she kept trying to jump in to the line and was stopped. Then as faster to the fun was about to board she started screaming in the staff's face that she is disabled and cannot stand for another moment, and showed she was barely about to stand let alone walk. The employee finally gave up and let her board even though it was not her turn. Once onboard I saw her multiple times on the ship rushing around, no limp, no cane no nothing.

This is certainly not the worst, but without a doubt the craziest. I was on a cruise a while back, not sure which one, but it was just nuts. Insane. People put their towels down on chairs when they were swimming, but when they left the area they took their towels with them, so others could use the chair. Men would get up and give their seats to women or elderly people who were standing. Nobody wore shorts or t-shirts in the MDR. People were respectful and considerate of the other passengers, nobody acted like it was just their vacation and the hell with everybody else. It was truly surreal.

On the Dream years back. Sitting in one of the lounges in the evening. Gray haired lady down front had a blue and white moo moo on. Ok I can handle that. When "she" got up we realized she was a he. We just stared at each other and started to laugh.

Found out next day after seeing him again that he had worn a speedo and had gotten to much sun in the "wrong" areas. Could not wear pants. Lol.

Several years ago, we were on a Carnival cruise that used the downtown port. After a day in cozumel, we were standing on the walkway over the street by the escalator watching the cruisers return. Cozumel was doing road work and there was a gap between the road and sidewalk. On the other side of the sidewalk there were hedges. Two women and a man had just come out of one of the popular bars and were making their way to the escalator to return to the ship. One of the women fell in the space between the street and side walk and the other woman fell through the hedges. The poor guy had to help get them up then had to hold them, one at a time, as he stood backwards on the escalator. The next day, I ran into the lady that fell through the hedges. She couldn't figure out why she was sore or how she had received the big scrapes and scratches on her arms. I asked her if she remembered falling in the bushes. She had no memory of the incident. Fun times in Cozumel. :D

Man no offense but maybe you need to reevaluate some things if someone saying some bad words or practicing his craft would be enough to make you lash out in violence. Not a civilized look my friend.

We were on an excursion in Jamaica and a lady that was with us kept going on and on and on about how she lives in the Villages, etc. We mostly just rolled our eyes at her, but then I almost lost it when she commented about some of the houses we saw on the backroads. She said "I don't know why they don't fix up their places to look nicer knowing tourists will be around." This was in an obviously poor area and I was about to scream. I couldn't say anything because I knew if I let my mouth open I'd call her some very not nice words. I'm sure that if these people could afford to put something other than a dirt floor in their homes they would be more than happy to "fix up" their houses. I think my lip was bleeding from how hard I was biting down on it. I was so angry my knuckles were white from gripping my purse so I wouldn't slap her.

We cruised a while back with a convention of "cross dressers". Yep, a whole bunch of mostly 6'4", red headed guys in cocktail dresses. LOL They turned out to be a HOOT, and we had a great time with them. Truly an unforgettable cruise.
