Looks like I need to pre-order a bottle or two. I was really banking on that being a miscommunication. Thanks for the info.

Also a question to OP. Do you know if they showed Sunday or Monday night football on the MUTS screen the last two nights?

Yes for football. Afternoon and nut Sunday and Monday night

Carolyn, since you had your medallions already, what was the check in process like for you? Had you used Ocean Ready? And could you walk straight onto the ship like the promo said you would?

Sandra

I was ocean ready. Had scanned and input my passports, answered the health questions etc.

went to that desk. They made me show my passports and took another picture even though one was there. They also confirmed my health questionnaire as to if I still agreed. Then they handed us our back up card and we were sent to the preferred rooms. We were give. The black elite 1 card to board but we actually went out with our friends who were in transit.

Once onboard they took yet another picture!

Thanks for the info - Ocean Not Ready then! No real changes since our Nov 13th cruise checkin except we were handed the Medallions too.

Wonderful day in the Sanctuary today. This morning was insanely breezy so the very top deck was closed. The service in the sanctuary is exceptional.

Love the captain on this ship. He is on a lot and talks about various things. Tonight he actually went from table to table saying hello in the Crown Grill. He really is very personable.

We had dinner tonight at the Crown Grill. It’s actually once of the best we have had there. Happy to report that they did give out butter! Lol. All four of us were very happy with our meals. They guys added the lobster tails and they were a nice size. The new beef tartare was great.

Not too much is going on with the medallions. They are still working on it. We can now open the doors. They do say hello when we walk by a store or bar. It did work in the casino tonight. We don’t gamble but went to spend $20 hoping to get future emails with the discounts. Won a few times so walked out with $14. Will go back again tomorrow. Other than that, it’s still a card swipe for everything

Crooners is quiet this sailing. They said last week was much busier which is strange considering there were a lot less people on the sailing.

There is a lot less paperwork being delivered to the cabins which is nice.

Honestly, I was a bit worried about sailing princess since there have been so many complaints on these boards. But I already have my new FCC deposits and bought the signed shadow box for my future medallions, so I guess I’m happy.

Tomorrow is Falmouth. Jason from crooners is excited because his wife will be picking him up and he will get to see her and his children for the day.

Time to relax!

Carolyn, I'm really enjoying reading your Live posts. I will be joining you on the 17th. I'm hoping to secure a chair in the Sanctuary for the cruise. The new terminal & check in sounds fabulous. You boarded so quickly. Unfortunately I

don't have medallion cabin. I am Elite so hopefully we won't have too much of a wait. I was surprised to hear about your first dining experience. This will be my fourth time on the Regal and the food was usually excellent. Maybe the new chef has to get into the groove! Did you select the night for the Wine Makers dinner or did they give you the date. Glad to hear you enjoyed the Crown Grill. Have a fun day in Jamaica! I'll check back in closer to the 17th. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and respond to everyone's questions.

Linda

Just got our Medallions today and the lanyard holder is the same as the one you received per your comments in another thread. I spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to open the darned thing to put the Medallion in without breaking it to no avail. It seems like it's fused shut. The instructions they sent are for the wrist band so I called to ask an Ocean Concierge if they have any written instructions they could send. The OC couldn't find any so I was put on hold for about 20 minutes while she tried to find help, then the call dropped.

I called back and was on and off hold for another 15 minutes while the OC and her supervisor tried to find someone who has one so they could figure out how to open it. No luck there. I'd really like to transport the ***** in the lanyard holder, so I thought I would ask if you know the secret to opening them. If not, I'll put the ***** and the lanyards in a ziploc baggie and will have someone at the port "install" them.

By the way, I also cannot visualize how the cruise card would fit - I know you had that question as well so I now know what you mean. Guess I will have to wait until Sunday for that answer. It shouldn't be this difficult.... Hope the ***** experience onboard is getting better!

Hoping this is the same lanyard design - where you have the raised bit of plastic at the bottom (see pic below), I just place a thumbnail in the gap and pull it down running it up and down the full length while holding the other side with my other thumb to create some tension. It then separates.

Very hard to describe!

"I’m no quite how my cabin went from being non medallion to a medallion cabin. None of the other cabins around me on either side have the panel on. We are the lone cabin!"

If there is any rhyme or reason for which cabins ARE *****, then that might be good info for those cruising soon.

We should be mid-ship on Emerald Deck.

Any info would be appreciated!

The initial ***** rollout was limited to cabins using Muster Station B (Art Gallery), forward groups of cabins roughly B301-336, M201-238, L201-302 i.e. Baja, Marina and Lido decks only. Not sure where the OP's cabin is though.

Thank you - it's very similar. There's a dark blue background with the seawitch in the lower left corner but the size and style is the same We got one open and it shut nicely. The other one is sort of loose at the top. I think we will let the crew at the port ensure that the ***** won't slip out. Whew! Thanks again.

Yay! Yes they can always swap the other one out

We just opened the plastic container with our fingernails. Up towards the top.

They will give you a small plastic card holder that’s from staples and you put your card in there. Both will then hang from the lanyard.

I am in a mini on Caribe deck C336. It’s this one and one on the other side. They are the only two on the entire deck and they then have us going to muster station B. That’s not the normal muster station for our cabin. Otherwise it’s all the original ones. 110 cabin total. At some point the iPad thing outside will have the person’s name and loyalty level. For now there is no way to know who is in this cabin.

Our medallion is working well for the doors now. We did try it on the casino last night. But that is all it can do at this point besides crew knowing we are in the vicinity because our picture is on their iPad.

Internet is amazing. There are a few times when it doesn’t work as well and for some reason it really doesn’t like me pulling up cruise critic. I have no issues with any other site. FaceTime works well

the ***** is monitoring your CCritic postings and is not happy with your honest assessment of how the ***** is working, or not.

Beware...:evilsmile::cool:

Sounds great, but everything else is so positive so you would think they want my posts!

And it does make for a more personal experience since they know who you are.

I agree, I think they should be reading these posts. I can get to Cruise Critic fine but only problem I have on CC is I can only read the last few post. I can scroll back to read more post and arrow keys to change pages. I have not noticed any other problems.

I am very happy with the speed and ability to chat.
